Hi all! Just wanted to pop in here for a minute. I'm sorry I dropped off the face of the earth for the past two weeks. My friend Tina gave me a poke over the weekend because it'd been so long since I'd posted anything, and she wanted to know if everything was okay.

Things are okay. Now. Not so much two weeks ago when things at work were so bad I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown. That's how bad it was for a week straight. I would come home each night exhausted from the stress, had headaches nearly every day and couldn't focus on anything. I was a zombie.

I tried to relax over the long 4th of July weekend and clear my mind. It worked somewhat but then things at work started all over again last Tuesday. Thankfully by last Thursday things had settled down, and Friday was my first stress free day in two weeks. I felt like I could finally breathe.

In the midst of all this, I'm under a deadline to finish my next ebook by the end of July. I couldn't even write for nearly a week because I couldn't concentrate. So now every free moment I have I'm trying to write at a furious pace to get myself back on track.

And then I was dealing with my car situation. I made a huge mistake four years ago, trading in my Mustang for the Dodge Caliber. I've pretty much hated that car ever since. I finally paid it off on Friday and immediately set out to trade it in for something else. Guess what I bought on Saturday? Another Mustang! LOL! Check it out:

I'm absolutely in love with it and no longer hate driving! :-)

So that's the State of Spooky right now. I've finally gotten my head above water and am no longer drowning. I hope to get back to posting regularly again, especially after I've finished writing this new book.

I'm sorry I've missed out on YOUR lives for the past two weeks. So tell me how you are! Anything new, fun, or exciting going on??

HUGS, everyone!!

Things are slowly getting better at the office, thankfully. Living with that never ending stress was just killing me. [sigh]

I fell in love with the Mustangs when I was a teenager back in the 80’s. Wasn’t able to afford one until 2001 and drove that for 11 years. I’m very glad I’ve got another one now!

Hey buddy!! So good to hear from you!

Oh gosh, I love my fancy car! Definitely the best one I’ve ever owned. Hopefully it will improve my mood while driving in Chicago traffic. :-)

Yeah, things are slowly getting better at the office, thankfully. Living with that never ending stress was just killing me. [sigh]

I'm glad to hear you are above water again!!!! I check on your posts every morning! We just recently purchased a priusV: we donated our Suburban to a youth group only to find out that there was lean on it from 20 years ago that should have been cleared up by the lean company (out of business) and B of A (assholes, and boy do I not use that term lightly!) so Kevin has his summer to fix this problem! Gives him something to battle! Not all teachers embrace their summers off the same. I'm happy to hear things are looking up and your book is done!!!

I’m glad I’m not drowning any more, either! Living under unrelenting stress for weeks on end is just not fun.

A twenty year old lien?? You’ve got to be kidding me! Here you are, trying to do something nice and donate your car and instead you’ve got all kinds of headaches. I wish Kevin all kinds of luck in getting this straightened out!

Well the book isn’t quite finished yet. I have another 9,000 words to go, but at least I’m back on track to complete it by the end of the month. Whew! More stress lifted from my shoulders! :-)

Aww, I missed all of you guys, too! {{HUGS}} My life was very boring without connecting with my online friends.

Hee! I love that you’re still full steam ahead with Vampire Diaries! I’ve been watching a lot of UK shows - New Blood, The Living and the Dead, The Five. Have you seen any of those?

Pretty car! Though my fantasy mustang has always been the '65-67 variety. Maybe one of these days I'll snag one. :D

I love this car. What did you name it? Is it a he or she? LOL (Mine is named Jim. and Sam calls my husbands car, Blair. You have no idea how that bugs my husband.) It's a perfect car for you. YOu look like it was made for you. Enjoy it and tell us what you named him. :)

Funny you say that, Patt, about it being made for me. I was going back and forth between the Mustang and the Charger and my husband said, “The Mustang is much more you.” :-)

He doesn’t have a name yet! I’m thinking of calling him Dean, for Supernatural, since Dean is all about muscle cars. Love that you call yours Jim! I can imagine your husband’s face when his is referred to as Blair. Ha!

How have I missed both these posts (recent one about car buying being exhausting)????

I'm sorry work was so bad!! It sucks so hard when work is stressful. I'm glad it's easing up.

OMG, I had a Dodge once and it was the worst car EVER. Never again. NICE ride!!! My Jeep has a slider roof that makes me feel like I have a convertible and I LOVE it so much. I'm going to be so sad whenever I have to get a new car and go back to a normal sunroof.

I'm very glad things are work are easing up, too! Living with that unrelenting stress was so utterly draining and exhausting.

The Caliber was my first Dodge. It was a cute car with lots of great features but it had ZERO pick up and so many blindspots that I was always a nervous wreck going in reverse or trying to change lanes. I couldn't get rid of it fast enough!

Ooh, what kind of Jeep do you have with a slider roof?? I have a Liberty. And I know when it finally dies (it's 10 years old) I will without a doubt get another Jeep. I'm sad they don't make the Liberty anymore so I'll probably get a Wrangler.

This is my 2nd Liberty! I had a 2002 until 2011 and got this one w/ the slider roof (LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it so freaking much). My ONLY complaint is that this Liberty doesn't have near the pick up and go that the 1st one did. I'm SO bummed they stopped making them. I'd definitely get another one. If I can afford it, I'd like to upgrade to a Cherokee whenever I need a new car...hopefully not for quite a while though.

I had no idea that Liberty's could come with a slider roof! Mine is a 2006 and doesn't even have a sunroof. :-) I'll probably end up with a Wrangler when the Liberty finally dies. I can take the roof off that. :-)
