It's National Cat Day! In honor of all my girls, three of whom are now gone, who brought endless joy into my life, and Bean who continues to do so. Love you Mandy, Mac, Chloe and Bean. :-)

Thank you, I really did. All of my girls were the sweetest, loving cats. I’m glad that I had them in my life for as long as I did. And that Bean sure keeps me on my toes now, the little stinker. :-)

You have to tell me, how did you name the four of them when you did? I named my favorite dog Grace because as a puppy she walked into the walls and we realized, Lucy wouldn't do. She was switched to Grace. And our dogs now, I heard a mother call her daughter at a store and her name was Lily. I thought, I want a dog with this name, so we got one and named her that. :) It was quite easy with our littlest one, Rodney named her. She's Dakota and I have no idea why. LOL

Oh gosh, let’s see. Chloe and Bean are the easiest - that was the name they came with and they responded to it and we thought it was cute so we kept it. Both Mandy and Mac have fandom connotations. When we got Mandy (who we were originally going to call Amanda) we thought we were adopting Duncan, too. Duncan and Amanda = Highlander. But then we couldn’t get Duncan and shortened Amanda to Mandy. :-) Mac was the culmination of a bunch of different fandoms my husband and I liked: MacGyver, Duncan Macleod (Highlander) and Sarah Mackenzie (JAG).

Grace! LOL! I love how you came up with that. Lords knows we called Chloe that enough times for the same reason!
