Exciting news yesterday! I won a contest! My prize? A box of the new, limited edition RED VELVET Oreo cookies that aren't even on the shelf yet. Sweet! I love everything red velvet and a friend at work told me about the contest Oreo was having on their website to give away boxes to random people. Of course I entered immediately and the very next day I found out I won. Just two days later and the box appears on my doorstep!

They included a note asking folks to tweet pics so this is what I posted last night:

Oh, did I forget to mention they're delicious? It's cream cheese filling instead of the regular Oreo filling. YUM! You can look for them on your grocery store shelves starting in February. :-)

You are a lucky person. Winning like that. I never seem to get in on something of that ilk in time to score. Ah well, I am not a big red velvet fan anyway. Like the old fashioned kind when I and if I get them.

I'm really shocked. I haven't won anything in ages. Man, give me red velvet anything and I'm a happy camper! Cupcakes, donuts, pancakes, waffles, cookies….so these are right up my alley. And see, I don't like the regular Oreos at all. If I ever eat them they're the Golden ones.

Yes, my friend at work knows how much I like red velvet so when she heard about the contest she told me right away. I’m still laughing that I won. :-)

Yes, the cream cheese filling is great! Glad they decided to use that instead of the regular Oreo filling. If you see them in the stores next month buy a box!
