Wow, I'm so disappointed in these ratings. Yet another outstanding episode and it yet again falls at the bottom of the rankings pile for the season. I mean, the freaking Paris Hilton episode got better ratings than Point of No Return. That's just wrong on so many levels.

Date: 2010-04-16 04:48 pm (UTC)I really hope it´ll change when this arch is done and we´re back to the roots as Kripke promised. I think, that´s what people learned to love the years before and many of them wandered off because of this seemingly neverending angel/demon/apocalypse theme, so hopefully they´ll return next season.

Date: 2010-04-19 07:13 pm (UTC)Tell me about it! Point of No Return was amazing and to see these dismal ratings hurts. :-(

I agree. The ratings started going downhill at the end of last season when the brothers were constantly fighting then on completely different sides as the apocalypse storyline kicked into full swing. And I understand why people left. It was painful to watch. And now to have two years of angels vs. demons is a bit much. I've got my fingers crossed that when SPN gets back to its roots next year and we're done with all of this that we'll get our audience back. [fingers crossed]

Date: 2010-04-20 01:35 am (UTC)But I stuck it out and like you, I'm thankful I did, because otherwise I would've missed episodes like Point of No Return and Dark Side of the Moon.
So here's hoping that we can lure some of our old viewers back next season when SPN hits the "reset" button. :-)

Date: 2010-04-16 07:21 pm (UTC)It sure was an amazing episode, though. Hopefully it will help them keep momentum.

Date: 2010-04-17 12:47 am (UTC)Same news, I know, but when was the last CW series to have 100eps? Smallville?

Date: 2010-04-19 05:54 pm (UTC)Yep, Smallville as far as I know is the only other CW show to hit 100, and I watch that show and I don't remember CW doing anything for them, either.

Date: 2010-04-19 05:39 pm (UTC)Nielsen's reporting methods are sorely out of date. They've been unable to keep up with the changing ways of viewing programs and that's just wrong. SPN always scores big on the DVR numbers.
