So. It's Friday. Should be a good day, right? It's payday, it's the start of the weekend. Good, right? Yeah, except if you're me and walked into a shitstorm at 6 am this morning with emails from after I'd already left last night. It's been five hours of complete crap with no end in sight. AND I have to go back to our old building for a meeting today which starts AFTER my normal quitting time. So lucky me, I have to work OT on top of everything. I've already got over 3 hours OT this week as it is. Well, I guess it means even more in my paycheck next week.

Ok, enough of that. Thought I'd take a break from all the crap and think about good things instead!

First up, I posted ST: Enterprise fic yesterday! Only one of you was able to guess which fandom it was going to be (congrats [livejournal.com profile] cadia58!). Yes, I'm still on my Scott Bakula kick. :-) Many, many thanks to all of you who read it and those who took a moment to leave me a comment. Meant the world to me, as this was a new endeavor for me and I'm thrilled a few of you enjoyed it. I have a feeling I've got another Archer/Tucker story or two in me. :-)

It just felt so good to WRITE something, you know? And as a wonderful by-product of that, while I still had the momentum, I started writing again on my next new ebook. That sucker has been sitting dormant for about a year and a half now. I got it about 75% finished and then ran out of gas for some reason. But this time I know I'm going to get it finished and published!

I signed up for my next glass blowing class, which will be February 9th. I got two of my good friends at work to sign up as well! I'm really looking forward to doing this with them. I know they're going to have a blast and want to go back again.

I leave for Florida two weeks from today! It's my best friend [livejournal.com profile] charityflint's 50th birthday and she wanted to spend it at Disney, so now there's a group of 8 of us going. I haven't been to Disney since I was 10 years old! Can't wait to get down there! And it will be great to leave the freezing cold of Chicago for a week for the sunshine of Florida. :-)

Last but not least, how about another daily dose of cute? Just got Mandy and Bean a new toy called the Turbo Track. It's one of those toys where the plastic ball is inside and they can't get it out. They love it! The best part is that it got them in close contact with each other and there was no hissing and growling on Mandy's part since she was more interested in playing with the toy. Here's hoping the more they play near each other the better they'll get along with each other.

Ok, gotta get back to the nonsense. Have a good weekend, everyone!

Hey sweetie, originally I wanted to leave a comment with your ST:Enterprise fic post but now I do it here.
As I have never watched ST:E I have no clue what is up with the characters or the original storyline, so please forgive me if I didn't read it, but ... you wrote a fic again and I was sure that this will bring you back on track for your new ebook. So go ahead, hon, sit down and write, write, write ... and maybe, just maybe you'll be in the right mood to write something SPN related again, too? *puppy dog eyes*

Uh, OT, yuk, I know how that feels, I started the new year with OT as well.
I'm feeling with you, hon, but hang in there, Disney is not that far away anymore ;o)

A big yeah for another glass blowing class and of course for your 2 cuties.

Have a great weekend ! *hugs*

Hey sunshine, sorry to hear you're having a bad day. :/ At least there's extra money in it for you, right? ^__^ Try to hold to the bright side. Glad to hear you're taking another glass blowing class! Your work there has been really beautiful so far and I can't wait to see what you come up with next. The kitties are as cute as ever, of course. I'm super happy for your trip to Disney! That's going to be an nice break from things for you. Take a TON of photos!! Also, I heard that Disney after dark is a great place to grab HDR photos. The park staff will start herding people out about an hour and a half after the park closes so the time between when the park shuts down and when they shuffle everyone out is a great time to set up your tripod and snap some bracketed shots of the rides and awesome lighting. ^_^

Oh, and I can't wait to hear about your new book once it's all done! I'm sure it's going to be a hit!

Think you will enjoy Disney if you are a kid at heart like me. I have been there over 50 times at least. Of course living close to Orlando helps. The most recent time was last September, when I splurged and stayed at the Grand Floridian. That was on my bucket list and was thoroughly enjoyed. Of the 4 parks, I like Epcot and Animal Kingdom the best. Although the redesigned Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom is now opened. If you want any information about the parks or hotels, just ask and enjoy.

D'awwww, sweet kitties! I wonder if my girls would get along with a cat? They've never been around felines, but they get along fine with other dogs. I'd love to have a putty tat!

I've followed along with all of your glass-blowing projects with great interest. That's something I've wanted to do for a long time. Perhaps it's time I looked around to see if there is a place that offers classes near me. I would also like to do stained glass and lampwork.

Sorry you had a yucky day. Here's hoping you have a great weekend babe!

xo,
~p

Hope your Friday didn't last too terribly long.

Yay for glass blowing classes!! Can't wait to see what you make this time. You should make a slideshow all all your projects.

Disney is always fun, at any age. Are you staying at a Disney property?

SWEET kitties!! They always make me smile.

Oh man. Your new year kinda starts like the old one ended...just concentrate on the extra money, bet your Amazon wish-list isn´t empty, so: YAY OT ;-))
What exactly is the theme of your next glass blowing class? A little too close to Valentine´s Day to have something created for John, right?
LOL - Beanie (what a big girl now!) looks as if she´s in danger to put her shoulder out of joint...hope they find some lasting chumminess through this hunting experience.

Have a fantastic Sunday *huggles*

PS: More Star Trek? Love it when my wishes come true!!!
