Supernatural Creation Con 2007 full panel downloads

With the demise of Megaupload I lost all 60+ convention videos I've recorded since 2007. I'm slowly starting to find all of my old files and reupload them now that I have an account at Rapidshare.

But unlike Megaupload, which was free and the files never disappeared, I have to pay for a Rapidshare account and the files only last for 30 days (I believe). So if you want these files, get them now! Because I can't guarantee how long they'll be around.

Have you looked at making torrents for them? I was wondering, given the short-term nature of your current online storage, if that might be slightly more stable.

If you're anything like me, it's best to have free accounts at various places, who know what's going down the tubes next. To that end you might try 4Shared or ADrive, they offer free accounts with a decent amount of storage, I really like 4Shared, ADrive lets you store a good amount of files but only makes them public for a certain amount of time, you don't lose the files, they revert to your private files after, I think, 2 weeks and then you just have to make them public again. Crockr is another place I'm trying right now too, looks interesting, but be careful with large files, you need to make sure you mark them to be shared by free accounts, otherwise anyone trying to download will get a message to buy a premium account before they can download. You’re absolutely right that I shouldn’t put all my eggs in one basket again. I’ve learned my lesson with Megaupload!

I’m a little familiar with 4Shared and you’re the second person to recommend Crockr to me. Thanks for the tip on labeling my files there.

I appreciate your help and advice and I’m going to start looking into my options. I really don’t want to have to go through all this reuploading again!

It's easy- I did some a few years ago for audio books and stuff. The tutorials out there are pretty straight forward. I think I ended up putting them together through my torrenting program.

early cons - yay!

Hi

I couldn't sign in to livejournal for some reason, but I just had to thank you SOOOOO much for these! I am also a late starter with SPN, and I live in SOuth Africa, so it's unlikely I will ever get to a con myself (c'mon lotto!). It is also very difficult to get early con videos, especially whole panels so thanks so much.

I understand some of their reasoning for not wanting people to film cons, but they forget that there a lot of international fans who will never get to one, and who are just as eager to see the panels. I would pay for dvd copies of a convention, and some other fandoms have released them before, but discs of "1 hour of highlights" do not cut it for me. I want the whole thing in it's raw glory.

And, if you note the date, I'm having no trouble getting these in November from Rapidshare, so go figure.

Aww, you’re very welcome! And it’s you, and others like you, who will probably never get a chance to see the boys in person, are the reason that I do this. I know I’m thankful for people recording cons that I can’t go to, so it’s nice to return the favor.

I, too, don’t understand why Creation doesn’t sell the video that they record during each con. I’d pay for it and I know a zillion other people would, too. But until then, I’ll do what I can to share. :-)

No, sorry. After both Megaupload and then Rapidshare disappeared it was too much to keep uploading all of those older vids over and over again.
