I, too, was disappointed with Sam and Al’s interaction in general in Mirror Image. They had like, what, two scenes together? (And I also never understood why Al was randomly wearing his Admiral’s uniform). Bellisario knew the series was ending, so why wasn’t that last scene with Sam and Al more meaningful? That’s partly what inspired my story here. I always wanted them to just talk, to let each of them tell the other what their friendship means, before heading right back into more Leaps. I’m very happy that you liked what I had them say to each other. :-)
