Hey guys!

Still having a fantastic time in Vancouver with [livejournal.com profile] charityflint. :-) Check under the cut for all that we've been doing the last two days, complete with pictures!

Yesterday was reeeeallly long. We got up early and drove to the ferry station to take the 1 hour 40 minute ride over to Vancouver Island, to Victoria. The day was absolutely beautiful and the ferry ride was just gorgeous. Here's a pic of the two of us on the deck:

It was a long drive, about a hour and a half, from the ferry to Victoria, where the first place we went was a seafood restaurant right on the warf called...Barb's Place! I kid you not. :-) I saw it on a travel program a few weeks ago and knew I had to eat there. And man, the place was packed!! I ended up getting a whole steamed dungeness crab, the first time I'd ever eaten one, and it was fantastic! Here's a pic with me and my lunch, wearing my Barb's Place hat that I bought. How could I not?? :-)

It was off to Hatley Castle next, the exterior of which has been used for Lex Luthor's mansion on Smallville, the Legacy House from Poltergeist: The Legacy and also in X-Men. We took a really cool tour of the place.

Didn't get back to the hotel until after midnight because we couldn't get on the earlier ferry back to Vancouver, then it was up early this morning to head up to Squamish to the Chieftain Hotel, which was in Wishful Thinking. My god, people, the drive up to Squamish on the Sea and Sky Highway was breathtaking. The town itself was very cute and quaint. Here's me under the hotel sign:

After we got back to the hotel, I was in the lobby and Chris was standing outside, when she suddenly came running in - she'd just seen Traci Dinwiddie pull up. :-) We went outside and there she was, sitting in the passenger seat. We kinda of giggled (couldn't help ourselves) and she looked over and gave us the sweetest, almost shy, smile and waved. :-) She got out of the car a moment later and man, she was dressed in the coolest, funkiest outfit. *g*

Then right around sunset we headed out to the 2400 motel, which was in Something Wicked, and in about a dozen other shows filmed in Vancouver. It was so cool! Chris and I definitely squeed when we pulled into the parking lot. :-) Here's me and the sign, wearing my Canucks jersey:

And here's the hotel office and Sam and Dean's room:

Back at the hotel again, Chris and I got ourselves registered for the con (over an hour in line, totally ridiculous) and I had the two nicest gals come up to me, who I'd never met before. One wanted to tell me how much she loved my fanfic and the other wanted to tell me how much she loved my LJ in general. It was the sweetest thing! Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :-)

Ok, gotta run. It's late and the con gets started tomorrow. I hope to be back later tomorrow afternoon/evening with pics and vids from the con - with Gabe, Alona, Julie and Traci. :-)
