Well, winchestmidwest might be over for another year, but the photos will live on!

I was a moron and forgot my camera, but luckily my buddy asyouleft did not. :-) Here are some of the pics she took, starting with me being a dork, sitting inside the 1967 Chevy Impala that was at the con:

It was fun sharing a good time at WinchestMidwest with you and I'm almost sorry I went on the ghost tour instead of staying to watch the Saturday movies. Sounds like the vids were pretty funny. Enjoyed your con reports. Your reading of Dean was pretty good, BTW!

The ghost tour was fun, and the guide was a great storyteller. The driver was a riot too. We saw lots of creepy dark places where bad things had happened (the Alley of Death outside the former Iroquois Theater, the site of the Eastland Disaster, etc.) but nothing genuinely scary until we visited the site of H. H. Holmes' former glass-bending factory and house. The vibe there was definitely creepy, I almost didn't get off the bus, and the porch light on the building behind the former house blinked on or off only in response to Holmes' name and the names of the two wives he probably killed there, and for no other names. Totally weird and very hard to rig, so it seemed genuine. I think that place would feel spooky even in the daylight, but really, you had to be there. All in all a good time and a fun tour but as for proof of the supernatural, well, jury's still out. Unless you count creepy vibes. And crazy homeless ladies warning us about invisible tanks. (That was a new one for the tour guides.)

Ooh, the Holmes place sounds so freaky! I can't believe I've lived my entire life in the Chicago area and I've never been there. I need to rectify that. :-)

Yeah, to enlarge that pic and put it in a frame! but heeeey if you going to be at the set in august!!! maybe you can take apic of the real impala!!! or at least one of the 6 that they have :D
