The beat of my heart

So my horrible day yesterday went from bad to worse, even after Louis gave me that chocolate bar. :-(
As if work wasn't bad enough, I had my regular appointment with my neurologist yesterday, too (I've suffered from chronic migraines for over 20 years). Now that I've recently moved, it takes forever to get to the doctor's office and traffic was pretty bad. Then he was running late, so I sat there in the waiting room for an HOUR before he saw me. [sigh]
Now the last time I was in, six months ago, my pulse rate was elevated and even though my blood pressure is completely normal, he was concerned. My pulse rate was over 100 again yesterday, too. [double sigh]
He's putting me on a freaking 24 hour heart monitor now. ARGH!
See, I had this problem 3 years ago, when I started to have this same reaction with my previous migraine medication. I had to wear the monitor and also have an ultrasound of my heart. There was sufficient concern that my heart could be damaged so I was taken off that med and put on the one I'm currently taking.
Now it looks like the same damn thing is happening again with this medication. God, I don't want to go through this again! Especially since I've been doing good with my current meds. Now I'll probably have to be taken off of this one and we'll have to do trial and error with another couple till we find another that works. [huge sigh]
I've got to make an appointment with the hospital this week to go in and be fitted for the monitor. Can't wait. :-/
Then because I was at the office so long, traffic going home was a nightmare and I was really in a pissed off mood by the time I got to the house and my foul mood lasted all night.
The only good thing that happened yesterday was that I finally after five straight nights, slept the entire night without waking up multiple times. I feel refreshed today, finally, and I've got the energy to work on the Wincest story I'm writing. :-)
