Spike TV to premiere footage from Jared's "Friday the 13th" and JDM's "Watchmen"

Just saw an article over at MarketWatch.com about the Spike TV Scream 2008 awards and this part caught my eye:

"SCREAM 2008" will feature exclusive world premiere footage from two of Warner Brothers' most highly anticipated releases of the coming year - "Watchmen" and "Friday The 13th." Based on the graphic novel by DC Comics, "Watchmen" is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society and the "Doomsday Clock" - which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. Directed by Zack Snyder the complex, multi-layered mystery adventure stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Patrick Wilson and Malin Akerman. "Watchmen" hits theaters March 6.

"Friday The 13th" comes to "SCREAM" this year as Spike TV will premiere footage of the updated cult classic in theaters Friday, February 13. Directed by Marcus Nispel ("Pathfinder") and starring television star Jared Padalecki ("Supernatural"), Jason will once again haunt the cursed campgrounds of Crystal Lake, but this time, hockey-masked Jason is the real killer.

The third annual televised event tapes Saturday, October 18 at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles, CA and premieres Tuesday, October 21 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on Spike TV.

Fan voting for this year's awards began Friday, September 12 and remains open until Friday, October 17. To vote or to view exclusive red carpet and backstage coverage, visit scream.spike.com.

There's a little SPN love in the new TVGuide, as well as some stuff I just saw at tvguide.com. In the magazine there's a Countdown of TV's 10 sexiest undead creatures. Guess who's at #3? The blurb says (and this is spoilery so don't read if you are avoiding spoilers):

3. Dean Winchester (Supernatural) Hell got much hotter when the ripped and roguish demon hunter was sent way south to pay off his Faustian deal with the devil. Though he's back on this mortal coil now, you know part of him died down there. And word is we'll find out what part that was during November sweeps.

Thank you! I SO hope they just have Jared introducing the clip and not having to give out an award. Because, though I've never actually seen the Spike TV awards, I don't doubt that the retarded lines they write for the award presenters are just the same as every other award show.
