agt_spooky: (Christmas-snowflake)
Wow, what a crazy weekend.

I did more volunteer work for the police department Friday night, at our village’s tree lighting. I got to work the photos with Santa booth again and had a fantastic time. We had about 225 kids this year. And only three criers! LOL!

Of course I had to get my own picture with Santa and a group shot of all of us volunteers:

After an awesome night I wasn’t prepared to wake up Saturday morning SO sick that I thought John was going to have to take me to the ER. I’ve never had a 24 hour flu/stomach bug that bad in my life. I felt like I was dying! I had to have picked it up from one of the sick kids or parents that were coughing and sneezing on me the previous night.

Thankfully I woke up Sunday morning much more up to par and I ended up decorating the entire house for Christmas and Hanukkah. Here’s our tree! Yes, it’s up on a table. I have a cat. Need I say more? :-)

We also got our first snow of the season on Sunday. This is Chicago, so we were long overdue for snow, but I still wasn’t ready for it. And it was a doozy. We ended up with about 5 inches out here in the suburbs. Ugh. Thankfully there’s no more in the forecast this week so hopefully it’ll all melt.

And that was my weekend! How was YOURS?
