Hey guys! I could really, REALLY use your help for something. I just got another fantastic review for my new ebook, Broken Soldier, and as a result, it is now up for Book of the Week at that review site. If I get first or second place in the poll it could be HUGE exposure for me and allow me to advance to the Book of the Month poll.

If you've got a second, could you vote for Broken Soldier? It would really mean the world to me. This book is doing awesome for me and I want to keep the momentum rolling. I'm up against a couple of real powerhouses in the m/m world in this poll, so every single vote really helps.

Thank you guys! I appreciate your support!

Work last week was crappy and stressful so I was looking forward to de-stressing and relaxing this weekend.

Saturday ended up being a complete wash. It was cold and pouring rain all day and night so I didn't even leave the house. I watched a bunch of TV but then the storms and the barometric pressure ended up giving me a migraine so I ended up in bed for awhile. Not exactly the good day I was hoping for. [sigh]

Thankfully Sunday was much better. It was still cold out but the rain had stopped. So John and I went to Level 257, a restaurant/video arcade/bowling alley that opened up inside our huge shopping mall about a year ago, but we'd never been to before. It was a bit disappointing. The food was expensive and just so-so and the service could've been better. Thankfully we had a coupon for a free overpriced appetizer. It was expensive to play the games, too ($5.00 for 15 minutes! You get like, two games for that!) and they didn't have a very good selection. So we won't be back. Which is a shame. I was hoping for a new place to eat and play.

But the rest of the afternoon at the mall was much better. We did some shopping and I ended up with a new shirt and pants from H&M (had a 20% off coupon, too!) and then my favorite thing - new gym shoes! I hadn't bought a pair in probably three years so I was due. I've been partial to grey one for awhile now and found these Nike Air Jordans. Check out that awesome blue sole:

When we got home there was an early Mother's Day gift (from Bean ) waiting for me that UPS had delivered. It was a 35 piece Wilton master decorating tip set for my cakes and cupcakes. It's great! Now I want to bake something. :-)

I get on the computer and find out I got a fantastic review on my new ebook Broken Soldier and that it's now up for Book of the Week! If you've got a second, could you cast your vote for Broken Soldier? If I get first or second place it'll be huge exposure for me and I'll be entered in the Book of the Month poll as well. This book is doing so well for me and I want to keep the momentum going. Thank you!

Then last night I get TWO emails from the Writer's Police Academy telling me that I've been selected for two special classes this year! I nearly fell off my chair! Last year they completely screwed me over and I got nothing. This year I got into the Chase Stop Maneuver (aka the PIT stop technique) where I actually get to DRIVE the police car and execute the PIT, causing the fleeing vehicle to lose traction and control and spin out. Oh HELL YEAH! And then I also got into the Shoot/Don't Shoot virtual reality class. I've done this before at my citizen police academy classes and loved it, so I'm definitely looking forward to it.

To top off a great day full of unexpected surprises, I came up with the opening sentences to my new ebook, Rogue Solider, the sequel to Broken Soldier. :-)

How was YOUR weekend?
