Well that was a boring weekend! Unless you count me getting my hair cut - TWICE. Grrrr….

I went Saturday morning to my local Great Clips, where I've gone for several years. The stylists are all young gals, who I'm familiar with. But this time there was a much older woman there, and that's who I ended up with. Just my luck! She had NO idea what she was doing. All she wanted to do was stand in front of me and talk to me about her cat. Then she'd forget where she left off on my hair. Then she parted it the wrong way - twice! She took forever and I hardly have any hair to begin with! When I got home and blow dried it and looked at it in the mirror I was pissed. My hair was a disaster. I ended up having to go back on Sunday and waste more of my time for someone else to fix it. That same woman was there and I refused to let her work on me again. So instead she stood there and stared at me and the other stylist who was working on me. So I stared right back! Then she picked up a broom and just had to sweep near us. I could tell the other stylist was getting annoyed, too. In the end the other woman cut my hair properly and it looks fine now and they also gave me a coupon for a free cut next time. I'm still irritated I wasted so much of my time there for two mornings.

Other than that, grocery shopping and laundry, I didn't really do much. Didn't even read a book this weekend. Just vegged in front of the TV. The FX channel was showing Captain America and both Thor movies so I just sat there and oggled Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth for several hours. :-)

Speaking of TV, the hubby is trying to get me to watch a new show - Beowulf - that he just started watching. Now I hated having to read that in school. But John says the show is just like Grimm, with monsters and such. So I'm a bit intrigued. Especially since I really dislike Grimm now. I HATE Trouble, hate what they've done to Juliette/Eve and really hate this romance between Nick and Adalind. So I wouldn't mind finding a replacement show.

For some reason I was really tired and took a nap both Saturday and Sunday, which is unusual for me. Ended up with a headache Sunday evening so I only watched the first two quarters of the Super Bowl. Not that I cared about the game, just the commercials. And I was very underwhelmed by the ones I saw. That "puppymonkeybaby" one was SO disturbing that I'm surprised I didn't have nightmares about it. [shiver]  I did record the rest of the game so I'll watch the rest of the commercials tonight.

On the writing front, work continues on my new book. I just went over 45,000 words on Friday with my 50,000 word goal firmly in sight. And it looks like I'll be attending the Writer's Police Academy again this year in Green Bay, Wisconsin, provided I get a registration spot on the 21st. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

So that's it from me! How was YOUR weekend?
