Was too tired when I got home from the Star Trek convention last night to make a post, so you're getting it this morning instead. :-)

The last day of the con was just as good as the previous two. I went to Robert Picardo's panel, where he serenaded us with a song from an upcoming musical he's in, based on the movie, October Sky. And he told a hilarious story of how he got the part of The Doctor.

Then I went to Linda Park's panel. Oh my gosh, what a beautiful, lovely woman she is! She brought Connor up on stage for the first part of her panel, so that was an added bonus. This was also her first convention appearance ever in Chicago.

After that was George Takei. While I was glad to have seen him for the first time ever in person, I was a bit disappointed in his panel. 90% of it was all political talk. Don't get me wrong, I love that George is such an activist (especially for LGBT issues) but I was hoping for some Star Trek talk.

Last panel of the night was Colm Meaney. What a great guy! This was my first time seeing him. His panel was nice because he took a lot of questions and I learned a lot about him.

My final photo op of the con was with Linda Park. Isn't she gorgeous? I loved speaking with her during the autograph session. I told her how phenomenal she was on Castle and she was so pleased!

And here's my pride and joy, what I took with to have all four Enterprise folks sign (Connor Trinneer, Dominic Keating, Linda Park and John Billingsley) - it's my original script from Similitude, my all time favorite episode of the show. Hopefully I'll get to meet Scott Bakula again and have him sign it. I'm hoping that since next year is the 50th anniversary of Trek they'll have some of the Captains at the cons. [fingers crossed]

All in all I had a really nice time and I'm glad I went, even without Karl Urban. ;-)

For [livejournal.com profile] ailurophile6. Unfortunately because it was getting so late last night and so many people were clamoring to leave to catch flights or long drives home, Creation wouldn't let Colm personalize. :-(   However, when I said that the autograph was for my friend who was a huge fan and couldn't be there and I was getting it for her, Colm and his handler and the woman behind me all went, "Aww! That's so nice of you!" LOL! I'm glad I got a chance to meet him. He was a sweetheart. :-)

Thank you again for your ticket!!
