The weekend wrap-up

First, I ended up selling a whopping 68 bundt cakes at work on Friday. Made over $100! Score! The feedback I've been getting this morning has been awesome, with everyone having eaten them over the weekend. My next bake sale will be in three weeks. I'm creating a new pumpkin flavored one with cream cheese icing. Yum!
Holy crap did it get cold here over the weekend! Snow flurries on Saturday! Thankfully not by me, but further north. We had gray skies, wind and rain off and on. A very depressing day.
John and I had planned on doing several errands but instead opted to just stay indoors. Which actually worked out fine, as I was able to get a project accomplished for my GRL writers convention which begins next Wednesday. Other than that we just got caught up on our TV viewing. Watched the first episode of Gracepoint. It was pretty much word for word, scene for scene of the original Broadchurch. But they've promised to make the killer someone different for the remake. David Tennant sounds hysterical doing an American accent.
Weather was much better on Sunday so John and I went to the movies to see Liam Neeson's new one A Walk Among the Tombstones. It was…strange and very long. I'm not sure why we were supposed to care about these drug dealers whose wives were being killed. Gosh, try not doing something illegal that people will try and hurt you for and take your drug money! But one of the drug dealers was Supernatural's own Sebastian Roche. Was very cool to see him on the big screen.
We hit the mall next as I was on the hunt for a new comforter set for the bedroom. Now that it's finally painted I want a new decor. We've had the same blue bed set and curtains for over 7 years. Time for a change! I want to go purple/lilac this time around. Been looking for weeks and nothing. But I scored at Sears! Check it out. It's microsuede so it's really soft. And it was on clearance, too! Saved over 40% on it. Now I just need matching sheets. They only had King in the lilac.

And that was pretty much it! How was YOUR weekend?
