Happy LJ Anniversary to me!

Wow, hard to believe that I'm celebrating 8 years on LJ today! Back in 2006 my best buddy charityflint dragged me kicking and screaming *g* in front of my computer and made me create an account. Why? Because of Supernatural, of course! She already had an account and came across some fanfic and well…the rest is history. :-)

I may have gotten into LJ because of SPN but it's become so much more than that for me now. It's a place to talk about all sorts of TV shows and movies and books. It's a place to share my photography and all of my artistic endeavors. It's a place for me to document my life - the good, the bad and the ugly.

But mainly, it's a place to make friends. And man, have I made a lot over the last eight years. It's been incredible knowing I have such a support system just on the other side of a computer screen. You guys are always there to cheer me on or cheer me up and encourage me in everything I do. I couldn't ask for more.

And I've been so fortunate to meet so many of you in person. My convention experiences wouldn't be the same without folks like donelbo, sn_24lover, celtprincess13, hollylyn1217, asyouleft, morganslady, queeberquabbler, rivercritter and the_other_sandy.

Then there's folks like lausbub0402. If we hadn't met through LJ and become such fast friends I don't think I would've ever traveled to Germany and Ireland, an experience that I will never, ever forget for as long as I live.

Last year at the SPN convention here in Chicago I told both Jensen and Jared that because of them and the show I've made so many meaningful friendships and traveled all over the world and I thanked them for making my life even better.

And you're all a part of that, too. So thank YOU for making my life better. Love you guys. ♥ ♥ Here's to another eight great years!
