Stargate Atlantis - was Michael so wrong?
Jul. 31st, 2013 08:03 amJust finished watching all 10 episodes of Stargate Atlantis that Connor Trinneer was in as the wraith, Michael. Wow, you were right feldspar2, those were some awesome episodes.

Is it wrong of me to say I kinda wanted Michael to succeed, that I sympathized with him? I mean, the Atlantis crew did experiment on him against his will - TWICE. Both times with the same disastrous result. Is it any wonder Michael did what he did? He was shunned by his own kind and the humans wouldn't accept him, either. He was doing what he could to survive and seek revenge. I mean, I knew it would never end well for him, but I couldn't blame him for what he did.
I really wanted to like Atlantis in general. And if you took away Rodney and Weir I would have! The most surprising thing was that I ended up really liking Ronon of all people. He had some really funny one-liners! Oh, so someone tell me - did they ever get poor Dr. Carson Beckett's clone out of stasis? Or did they just forget about him completely?
Speaking of Connor, I find myself struggling with my new Star Trek Enterprise story. The previous four just flowed right out of me. And even though I've got everything outlined for this new one, it's coming in fits and starts. This is the first time I've written true science fiction and I'm finding that world-building is not my strong suit. My other stories were more character pieces with Archer and Trip, and this one involves actual aliens that need a home planet and a society, etc. I may have bitten off more than I can chew! But I'm still plugging along. Not going to give up on it! :-)
