Hi guys!

Another action packed day here in Germany. Or should I say Switzerland?

We went to Interlaken, to Mt. Pilatus in the Swiss Alps, where we took the cog-wheel tram alllllll the way up. Took about 30 minutes.

So the day didn't start off great, because when we got to the top of Mt. Pilatus you couldn't see the hand in front of your face, it was all fogged in. Needless to say, we were all really disappointed. And it was pretty freaking cold and windy. So we decided to have lunch first, hoping the fog would burn off.

The fog was still around after lunch so we started on our hike anyway. Not more than 10 feet down the path we ran into a family of Ibex! Mom, dad and 2 little ones. I couldn't believe how close to the path they were. They were awesome!

We continued on, climbing and climbing, making it all the way to the top and still no sun. We sat on these benches and fed these enormous black birds when suddenly - the sun came out!

Holy crap, it was breathtaking. I couldn't believe what had been hiding behind the clouds. What a view! And the cows! LOL! All you could hear were the bells, even all the way up the mountain. We stayed up there for at least an hour (running into even more Ibex!) before making our way back down, where we went on the other side of the mountain. The sun was shining on that side, too, with an amazing view of the lake and the valley.

So we got home around 8 pm, completely exhausted, again. Today we walked 12,000 steps! :-)

[livejournal.com profile] lausbub0402 and I are off to Basel again tomorrow for shopping. Yay!

That's it for today! Talk to you all again soon!

Is that yodel-ing I hear? )
