Many thanks to
candygramme* for the heads up on this.
If you haven't heard, Paypal is now dictating what kind of ebooks you can read. Don't believe me? Think that's nuts? Check this out:

To say I'm pissed is an understatement. How DARE Paypal have the right to tell ebook publishers what they can and cannot sell?? I'm an ebook author myself and my own books are sold through Smashwords, which Paypal is now censoring! Right now my own writing doesn't fall within the "taboo" categories, but I DO write erotic m/m fiction. What do you want to bet they're going to impose a ban on gay fiction next, because that also offends Paypal? Mark my words, it's coming.
Even though I don't write ebooks with the "banned" themes that doesn't mean that I don't support the rights of the authors AND readers, and if you do, too, please help spread the word about this. Down in the comments at
naamah_darling's LJ are the links to several petitions.
Paypal has a stranglehold over electronic payments and they're abusing this power, taking away INCOME from authors like myself. It's WRONG and they should not be allowed to get away with this.
