Lucifer sings! LOL!

So I've been watching my first fannish love, The Sentinel, from the beginning and just started season two today.

I'd completely forgotten that Mark Pellegrino (aka SPN's Lucifer) was in the second episode, "Out of the Past". Oh man, you should see him with his long blonde hair back in 1995. :-) His character, bad guy Ray Westin, has the distinction of being one of the few people to beat the crap out of the hero, Jim Ellison. He kicked him through a plate glass door!

The plot of the ep has Ray after his old girlfriend, who is a pop singer, and he's in his truck on his way to her house and he's got her CD playing and he's singing along with it, badly. *g*

I'm thinking that Supernatural needs to do a musical episode ala Buffy now. ;-)

Supernatural - Beginning's End #4

I picked up the new issue of the Supernatural comic, Beginning's End, yesterday, and it's a long way down from issue #3. :-(

John is a complete and utter ass in this issue toward Sam, making it even more apparent why he wants to get away from his father. He makes Sam go pickpocket someone so that Sam can eat, then when he does and gets himself a hot dog, John eats it after nearly shooting Sam in the shoulder over it.

Dean, meanwhile, is on his own hunt, and here's where it's apparent that Dabb and Loflin have NO idea about SPN canon. In "Dead Man's Blood", neither Sam or Dean have ever faced off against a vampire, yet here's Dean hunting one and chopping off its head with a machete. [shakes head]

He hooks up with another female hunter from an earlier issue and they dispatch the vampire together, go to a rave for wannabe vampires, have several drinks and then go back to her place where they fall into bed together...only to have Dean pass out before anything can happen. That part was actually amusing. *g*

Back with Sam and John, they get a lead where they might find John Dee and head off to the pier...where the issue ends with a "To Be Continued"

All in all another lacking issue. God, WHY can't someone write a GOOD Supernatural comic book series?? Argh!
