It's elementary, my dear Watson

My husband is ADORABLE.

Over the weekend he said to me, "Can we do date night on Tuesday?"

I kinda looked at him funny, since we always do date night on Fridays. I asked him why and he shook his head and told me it was a surprise, but it had to be on Tuesday.

Which got a raised eyebrow from me. John means well, he really does, but sometimes his surprises fall short of the mark. :-)

Last night we thought we were going to have a conflict with something that I needed to do today, so I asked him if we definitely had to do date night tonight. He said, "Well, not really but it's cheaper today."

Now I'm totally confused. I asked him if he was taking me to a restaurant and he said no, but then realized that we did need to go somewhere to eat beforehand. (See what I'm saying about his surprises? *g*). He finally asked me if I just wanted to know, and by this point my curiosity is off the chart, so I said yes.

There's this new discount theater that opened up near us about six months ago that we've never been to, and while John was looking through the paper on Sunday something that was playing there caught his eye.

He wants to take me to see Sherlock Holmes. :-)

He is SO cute. He knows how obsessed I am with that movie. I've seen it about a dozen times and he went with me three of those times. I laughed and said, "You do realize that the day you want to take me is the same day that Amazon is delivering the DVD to the house, right?" And he's like, "Yeah, but this will probably be your last chance to watch it on the big screen. And on Tuesday it's only $1.00."

Like I said, he's adorable.

So yeah, I've got a date tonight with my hubby and Holmes and Watson. Break out the popcorn! :-)
