There were a lot of things I had to be happy about yesterday.

• First, my ebook, "Where There's Smoke" has been nominated for two awards.

• Second, at work we found out that since our company did so well last year, tomorrow we're all getting a special bonus check, worth 2% of our salary! SWEET! I should be clearing about $1,200. Gonna put that money toward taking a vacation with John in May to a dude ranch. :-)

• Third, [livejournal.com profile] sian265 sent me virtual kisses for a belated birthday gift. That was so sweet of you! Thank you! :-)

• Fourth, someone somewhere must have rec'd two of my SPN stories yesterday because Do You Wanna Get Rocked had over 40 hits and Touched by Darkness had 50 hits. Nice! It still amazes me that so many people still read Touched by Darkness. I usually have about 20 hits every single day. I've been toying with a sequel to that for a long time, and I've decided that 2010 is the year that I finally write it. :-)

• Fifth, SUPERNATURAL WON THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD FOR FAVORITE SCI-FI/FANTASY!!

This is HUGE! I am SO thrilled for the cast and crew, they certainly deserve it after all these years. But of course this wasn't one of the awards that was televised. ARGH! I wonder how they present those. I'm sure Eric was the one who received it. I hope he makes a little press statement about it. :-)

• And finally, I'm quite pleased with my progress on my new Jensen/Jared story. I've got 5,500 words written so far with a ton more to go. I'm thinking this may turn out to be the longest story I've ever written, if I surpase Playing with Fire, which had 30,000. Wish me luck!

So yeah, lots to be happy about yesterday! Here's hoping today brings more of the same. :-)

Everyone's been doing this, and when I saw how true my results were I had to post them:

Your result for The Fan Fiction Personality Test...

The Shipper

Slash, pairings and Playboy plot bunnies.

You are very likely female, and you very likely examine characters for their "slashability". Though you insist that your stories don't circle around love and sex between attractive characters, they do.
It is also likely familiar to you that at a certain point in your story, a character (or more) discovers that he (and rarely even she) is gay, and starts a relationship with another character.
Your fanfiction meets the taste of many, especially if your pairing happens to be between two attractive males that are straight in canon.
You probably wrote something about Harry Potter falling in love with Draco Malfoy, Legolas starting a secret romance with Aragorn or Obi Wan being a sex sklave of Han Solo. If not, you probably still consider to do it.

Who me? A SLASH fan? No! [snerk]

Wow, it's been a dry spell for weeks with no SPN spoilers or news, and now two ep descriptions in two days!

All I've got to say is, Ausiello better not have been lying to me! I've been waiting FOUR YEARS for what he told me was gonna happen!

Here's what's coming up )
