So as I mentioned in my previous post, my weekend didn't turn out quite the way I'd hoped it would.
On Saturday, the hubby and I had a burst of energy and started painting my office. I picked a teal color and it's looking really good. We moved all the furniture to one side of the room and got half the room painted. We'll probably finish it up next weekend. Then I can hang all my Supernatural pictures and slash art on the walls. :-)

charityflint, came over. We were going to my town's Summerfest to see SURVIVOR and a Bon Jovi cover band play. Now the weather had been gorgeous all day long. Until Charity and I got over to Summerfest, that is. [sigh]
I was SO excited to see Survivor. I mean, Eye of the Tiger, baby! And I was eager to try out my new digital camera that I'd gotten from the hubby for our anniversary, too. The concert started at 8 pm, and the
minute Survivor started singing it started to rain. By the second song it was coming down harder, so Charity and I packed up our chairs and retreated to the food tent, across from the stage.
By the end of the fourth song it was a
downpour and lightning started to flash. Well, that was it. They canceled the concert. AND THEY NEVER PLAYED EYE OF THE TIGER! ARGH!
Charity and I (along with a
ton) of other people ended up staying in the tent until 9:30 pm, when the rain finally started to slack off. The fest people would come by every so often and say that if the weather cleared up Survivor would play again, but it never happened. :-( Just as Charity and I were leaving, the fest decided to set up the Bon Jovi cover band in the food tent for an acoustic set, but they were so far away from where we were sitting it would've stupid to stay.
So Charity and I got back to the car and went to Dairy Queen for ice cream, taking it back to my house to hang out for awhile with my hubby, until around 11 pm.
I'm still SO disappointed and angry that the night was ruined. :-(
For some reason I could only sleep for about 4 hours Saturday night, so I was cranky on Sunday. Tried to take a nap but laid there for two hours and couldn't fall asleep. [sigh]
So I planted myself in front of the TV and watched a marathon of Freakylinks that I'd taped off of the Chiller channel. And who was in one episode? Travis Wester! The Ghostfacer himself! :-) And in another episode was Connor Trinneer! My favorite, Trip Tucker from Enterprise! (and Michael from SGA)
I was feeling a bit better later in the day, and it turned out to be a gorgeous evening, so I suggested to the hubby that we eat dinner outside on the patio. And it turned out really lovely! He made pasta and garlic bread, I broke out the sangria, and we had dinner watching the birds and squirrels and rabbits running around the yard. :-) Our Summerfest shot off fireworks last night, too, and we could see most of them from our front porch.
So yeah, not quite the weekend I was hoping for but at least it ended pretty good.
Oh, I apparently can't leave my hubby alone for five minutes. He didn't go with Charity and I to Summerfest and during the few hours we were gone, he got himself completely hooked on
The Real Housewives of New Jersey! I mean, what the...? LOL! But I've also gotten him hooked on Merlin, so it all evens out. :-)
