Chris Kane in Leverage

Quite awhile back I heard many people on my flist talking about Chris Kane being in this new show called Leverage. I pretty much forgot about it until I saw the full page ad for it in Entertainment Weekly last week.

I decided to give it a shot out of curiosity, because I've never seen Chris act before. Yes, that's right, I've never in my life seen an episode of Angel. :-)

I've been busy with holiday things, so I ended up having to tape the first two episodes, which I finally got a chance to sit down and watch last night.

And you know what? I LOVE this show!

The reviews I read about it prior to seeing it went on and on about how great Timothy Hutton is, and how mediocre the rest of his team is. Ummm...are they watching the same show I am? Because I think Timothy is pretty dull and boring, but the rest of the cast is great!

And I do have to say that Chris's character, Eliot, is by far the best. He's the "muscle" of the group, kicking ass and taking names with cool fighting moves, and he hates guns, but knows everything about them.

I had no idea that Aldis Hodge, who played Jake in AHBL was in it, too, so that was a nice surprise. He's the computer geek of the group. The other two gals in it are neat, too, the thief and the con artist.

I just love the pacing of the show, the neat twists in the plot, and how quirky and humorous it can be. I laughed out loud many times, especially during the pilot. The characters just have a really good rapport with each other and the writing is very good.

Is anyone else watching? If not, give it a shot. It's on Tuesday nights on TNT and they're showing reruns of the pilot and first episode, so check their schedule for that if you'd like to get caught up.

Now having seen Chris (and his sexy, gravely voice *g*) it makes me want to find an episode or two of Angel. :-)
