Synopsis:

Lucas Taylor is a hard-working New York City fireman at Station 127, dedicated to his job, even though it has brought him heartrending tragedy - the loss of his lover, Ryan, in an explosion a year ago.

Evan Singer is the new guy in town, a paramedic transferred into Station127 from San Antonio, and he sets his eyes on Lucas from the get-go.

Neither knowing who the other is, their first meeting is explosive, a night of passion and desire that awakens something inside Lucas he never thought he’d feel again.

But when Lucas discovers that Evan is a paramedic, it all comes crashing down. For despite the feelings he has for Evan, Lucas has vowed to never again get involved with someone on the job, after losing Ryan to it.

Can Evan convince Lucas to open up his heart and take a chance on love again, despite who Evan is?

SRR GRADE:  A

Burnin’ for You is a short little flamer – hot and steamy in more ways than one! Jamie Lynn Miller introduces us to Lucas Taylor, a firefighter who two years ago lost his true love and since then has pulled back into himself – afraid to let anyone in again.

On the two year anniversary of his lover’s death Lucas looks across the room into a set of new eyes, eyes he can’t seem to resist. Not sure whether it’s the drink or just the intense need to feel someone’s arms around him he goes home with Evan, the stranger from across the room.

Burnin’ For You is the story of how the love of one man can conquer the hurt and heal the deep wounds of another. The characters are charming, Lucus is definitely the gruff and tough firefighter, and Evan shows an amazing amount of compassion for a younger man. I really enjoyed this story which shows you that life and love are worth taking chances for.
