Happy LJ Anniversary to me!

Wow, I can't believe today is my Two Year LJ Anniversary. It honestly seems like I've had my journal for longer than two years!

But what a great two years it's been. I started off with just one person friending me (that's you charityflint!) and today 273 (!!) people have friended me and I myself have over 100 friends, and have posted 981 times. And for someone who fought getting an LJ tooth and nail, I think I've come around to the idea. :-)

I have made SO many new friends these last couple of years and reconnected with old ones. I've been fortunate enough to have met many of you in person and there are so many of you who I would love to (yeah, that's you, alli_everyday!)

I want to thank each and every one of you who have ever taken the time to comment on one of my posts, be it personal ramblings or fannish ramblings or my fic. You've made my LJ experience what it is and I thank you.

So here's to many more years on LJ to come!

Random Ramblings

• Boy were you guys chatty in my LJ yesterday! It was great to see so many comments on my post about Bugs. :-) I'll answer you all back as soon as I can!

• Disc 3 of the SPN season 1 DVD set is made of awesome. With a line up of Home, Asylum, Scarecrow and Faith, I could watch this disc and no other and die happy.

• My abouttwoboys fic is coming along great! I've stuck to my goal and have written every single day on it since I started it on Monday. And I'm on page six of my ten page outline, so I'm pretty darn confident I can make the Feb. 14th deadline. Yay!

• I'm wearing my new red and black checkered flannel shirt that I bought at Old Navy. It looked great in the box at the store but when I went into the bathroom here at work I suddenly realized I looked like a lumberjack. :-)

• My buddy Andrew at work is so freaking sweet. Because there was a snowstorm on my birthday a few weeks ago, my friends couldn't take me out to lunch. So we decided randomly to go yesterday instead, which we did. But Andrew forgot and brought his lunch, which was a bowl of his amazingly fantastic homemade chicken soup. He's brought in a crockpot of it to share with us and it's SO delicious. So anyway, Andrew's got the day off today, so he asked me yesterday if I'd like to have the soup for my own lunch today, and he'd just leave it in the fridge for me. Awww! Was that not too sweet of him to do? :-) He also called me at my desk after he left work yesterday to tell me there were three accidents on this one road and to not go home that way. Again, too sweet of him to do!

• I've been hitting the treadmill here at work twice a day for two weeks, for about 30 minutes a day. We've got a game room with three treadmills, a bowflex, an elliptical machine, two foosball tables, a ping pong table and a basketball half-court. My good friend decided she wanted to get in better shape, and it's boring to use the treadmill by yourself so I said I'd join her. Now I've never been on a treadmill in my life. When you weigh 110 lbs. soaking wet, exercise just isn't something I've ever really done. Which is bad, I know! So I've really surprised myself by how much I've enjoyed doing the treadmill. I actually look forward to it each day!

• The high temperature this weekend is supposed to be FOUR degrees. Yeah. Four. Welcome to Chicago in January. So I'm planning on curling up with some fanfic and some SPN DVDs and a cup of hot chocolate and not stepping foot out the door. :-)

• Oh, and I want to be this woman who gets to tie Jensen Ackles to a chair. I'm just saying. :-)
