Just saw this on the winchestercon list:

Hey, everyone! Happy hump day!

We know that many of you are making plans around WinchesterCon, so we wanted to keep you up-to-date.
Instead of having separate cons for the East and West Coasts, we're planning a single event, to be held in Los Angeles over the weekend of October 12 - 14. We are still in the process of selecting a hotel, so we'll let you know when we get those details together.

This just totally sucks and I'm completely confused by their decision. They ran a poll asking if we'd like the con to remain in Nashville in the summer or on the West coast in the fall. The Nashville/summer choice won, yet they picked LA anyway!

I was SO excited to be able to go this year, to just drive down to Nashville. But now being all the way in L.A., that's a huge expense for airfare. And I doubt my best buddy charityflint could go, since she's a teacher and school will be in session.

I'm just so bummed, since I just don't think I can swing going all the way out there. And I wanted to meet alli_everyday! [pout]

Will any of you guys be going out to the con?
