Howdy, y'all! *g*
Before I get started, if anyone knows how to convert a video file from .asf format to either .wmv or .avi, PLEASE let me know. I have about three minutes of Jensen video I'd like to share with all of you that I recorded. And no, it's not illegal video. :-) Keep reading...
I wanted to get my report up about Saturday night's performance of A Few Good Men when I got home yesterday, but I was a sleep-deprived zombie instead. Why? Because

Yes, both men came out the stage door after the play to sign autographs and talk with us for awhile. I got lucky and was in the first row of fans gathered at the door so both Lou and Jensen were like, eight inches from my face. :-)
While I didn't care for Lou's performance of Col. Jessup (sorry!), Lou himself is such a great guy! He was so friendly, answering questions and signing something for every fan there that wanted his autograph. He's a much smaller man than I thought, but his arms? Whoo! Someone works out. *g* I, too, got his autograph and was totally thrilled.
Here's a funny bit about getting Lou's autograph - before I left for Texas, I found a really nice pic of Lou on the internet and printed it out on glossy photo paper, in the hopes that I'd get to have it signed. (I also printed out a pic of Jensen, too) To me, it was the first thing I thought of - bring a pic with to get it signed. Apparently I was the only one who thought of doing that - as when I pulled out the pic (along with a clipboard so he'd have something to write on) shortly before Lou came out, all the fangirls around me were like, in awe, that I'd brought a picture with. They were all like, "Wow, that's so cool!" All everyone else had were their playbills. I guess I found it strange that no one else had thought of doing what I did!
And Lou himself even made a comment when he took the pic from me. He was like, "Hey! That's a great picture! Where did you find that?" I told him the internet as everyone was laughing at his comment, then he says, still looking at the photo, "Man, I loved that shirt! And now I can't find it!" LOL!
Lou was out there for about 15 minutes or so, and as soon as he walked away the door opened and Jensen was standing there! Everyone clapped and yelled as soon as we saw him. I remember him yelling something to Lou, like "go home!" and laughing, but I was a bit distracted as Jensen was standing eight inches in front of me. Squee!
I must have looked like a complete idiot standing there, with my jaw hanging open, not able to comprehend that Jensen was standing right in front of me. The play itself was surreal enough, to see him from ten feet away. But eight inches?? I forgot how to breathe, let me tell you. :-)
It was so freaking dark back there, with only one streetlight, so I couldn't see just how green Jensen's eyes are. :-)
There was probably 40 of us fangirls gathered there, and everyone behaved themselves just fine, thank you GOD.
Anyway, Jensen was all smiles when he came out and said he couldn't stay long, but would sign everything he could, but unfortunately wouldn't be taking any pics with people RATS! I was SO hoping for that, as he did take pics with the folks after the Saturday matinee performance.
But hey, he was out there, which I honestly didn't think would happen, so I'm counting myself lucky. :-)
As people stepped up to get things signed, folks were asking him all sorts of questions and just telling him how much we enjoyed the play and his performance. And how much we loved SPN and were so grateful it was coming back.
Specific things are a blur to me, as hello, Jensen was RIGHT THERE and all I could concentrate on was his incredibly gorgeous face. :-) Oh, but I do remember one thing - someone asked him what it was like saying dialogue with "Sam" and "Jo". Everyone laughed, and so did Jensen, and he brought up that Jared was there on Wednesday, to surprise him, and that Jared told him that whenever he heard "Sam" he'd kind of perk up and glance around. :-)
He got around to me after a bit and I gave him the pic I had printed out, and he put "Barb" on there and then his signature. SQUEE! I thanked him and told him his performance was amazing and he looked up and smiled and thanked me back. I'm surprised I didn't fall over dead when that gaze and that smile was directed at me, just for a moment. :-)
I roused myself out of my stupor and finally remembered to pull out my camera, which is also a camcorder. The flash was not working on my camera for the entire trip, so it was no use to take pics, but I decided to give it a try recording. I got the last three minutes of Jensen signing and talking before he had to leave. But because it was pitch black back there, you can only see him when someone flashes their camera. Which, thankfully, was quite often. :-)
I'd post the video for everyone to see, but it's recorded in .asf format and I don't know how to convert it to .wmv or .avi. If anyone can tell me I will certainly post it for everyone to see.
So Jensen ended up staying until everyone had something signed, which was awesome of him. When he asked if anyone else needed anything signed and we said no, he laughed and told us all to go home and get some sleep. :-)
I couldn't have asked for a better end to the trip. I felt like I was walking on Cloud 9 as Charity and I made our way back to our car. This morning everything kinda feels like a dream, you know? I just keep staring at the autographed picture, reminding myself that it was real. :-)
But let me back up a bit, to the play itself on Saturday. Our seats were in the same section, but in row seven instead. And while it was fantastic to be in row three the night before, I actually liked being back a bit, higher up, so you could see things better on the stage.
Charity and I ended up being surrounded by fangirls that night. Right behind us were _sin_attract and her two friends, another fan to Charity's left and another fan from Canada right in front of us. Very cool!
I thought that Jensen's performance on Saturday was much more smooth than on Friday. He had two, maybe three fumbles on Saturday. And I felt that the play was really long on Friday, but on Saturday it just flew by! Which was disappointing because I'm like, wait, I don't want this to be over! *g*
I'm just...so freaking impressed with Jensen. This was his stage debut and he just blew me away. I hope this play garners some attention for him, because he deserves it. He's an amazingly talented actor and I want people to sit up and take notice of him. I want him to have a good, long career, because again, he deserves it.
So thank you, Jensen, for an amazing performance and for giving me two days of incredible fun in Texas that I'll never forget. :-)
I've got some funny anecdotes to share with all of you about other things that happened in Fort Worth, but I'll save those for another couple posts later. *g*
