As aprodite33 said, House will slay anything on across from it. So it's suicide from the get-go.
Also, Kevin Smith is brilliant but his past attempts (most notably the animated Clerks) failed because his work is too "out there" for network TV. The moment they start telling him to cut this or change that, he'll be gone -- and then go to his website where he'll bash the living shit out of TPTB who wronged him.
