First episode of SPN anime is available for download!

Oh SWEET! I just found the entire first episode of the SPN anime - with English dubbing - for download on YouTube!

Jared is dubbing Sam and someone named Andrew Farrar is dubbing Dean. Man, this is going to be weird not to hear Jensen's voice. :-(

P.S. - this YouTube channel, SPNtheAnimation, also has up the introductions by Jensen and/or Jared for the second, fifth and sixth episodes.

Aww, why no Jensen?

Honestly, I wish I knew. Jared is doing every episode of the anime, but Jensen is only doing two. :-( And I'm so surprised because Jensen has been doing a lot of voice work and he's said he really likes it. I wonder why he turned down voicing Dean in this.

I think that Farrar guy is doing a pretty good job, considering he's trying to sound like Jensen. Of course he can't sound like him completely, but that's not his fault. He'trying. And he still sounds a hundred times better than most guys who dub Dean in foreign language versions on SPN.

Andrew Farrar sounds very similar to Jensen...it's quite creepy lol! It's weird hearing Jared's voice and not seeing him ;)

Why Jensen will do voiceover work for other stuff but not for his own character is beyond me. If Jared could make time for it, I don't get why Jensen wouldn't.

The other guy sounds like a mix of Brock-as-Dean and Jensen-as-S4-Dean, though, so it's all good.

I, too, am at a loss as to why Jensen took a pass on working on the anime. You'd think it would've been the easiest voice work he's done!

I kind of wish someone else was dubbing for Sam. It's like Jared's voice doesn't match.
Maybe they should have made it higher in post?

You're welcome! I, too, also wish it had been another actor doing Sam's voice so it wouldn't sound so strange with just him and not Jensen. I never thought about the pitch of Jared's voice, but I think it's because this is based on a season one episode and Jared's voice has changed a bit in six years, so it sounds a bit off.

I've watched the ep and loved it, and the Dean voice isn't nearly as bad as the Sam voice that wasn't Jared at the end...I had to cringe alittle at that.

You're very welcome! Ok, I thought it was just me, thinking that wasn't Jared's voice at the end! Looks like I'm not crazy. Why in the world would he dub the rest of the episode and not that last line? Talk about bizarre!

Has anyone downloaded it in Japanese with the subtitles. dubbing is really distracting. And why must everyone make Dean sound like he's from Jersey?
