However, I think I read that it was pre-empted in the St. Louis market, so that may have something to do with it.
While I haven't been quite as unhappy as you have been with the season, I am frustrated too because I do think Jensen is getting screwed over again with once again no story line that is specific to his own damn character. And I hate what they're doing with Sam - more than usual, which is saying something.
Ron Moore is wanting to remake The Wild Wild West. What a dream role that would be for Jensen! ;)

That seems to be the general consensus of everyone - that this past episode was boring, or flat or blah. So much for this crop of new writers, eh? :-(

True, it was, but that only means that the ratings will drop or stay the same in the finals, after the sports audience is factored out of the 2.08 million. So this episode truly was at the bottom of the barrel. I wish it would stay consistently this low this week, too, so Sera would get a clue, but I think everyone's going to want to see Ben Edlund's crack episode with Dean and the fairies.
I am frustrated too because I do think Jensen is getting screwed over again with once again no story line that is specific to his own damn character.
When I found out that Jensen was barely in this past one it cemented my decision to not waste my time ever watching it. That's all I need, the majority of the episode with Soul-less Sam - who is once again the most important character, the only character with a storyline. But that's no surprise because Sera's in charge.
And I hate what they're doing with Sam - more than usual, which is saying something.
I just think it's pointless. Why couldn't they have made Sam in some other way affected from his time in the cage? And have Crowley have kept Bobby's soul and have the boys work for him because of that?

Oh my GOD! That would be AWESOME!

Actually, you might have liked this week as it was very MOTW.

I thought the talk that Sam and dean finally had was a long time coming. And I hate to be the one to say this but I said all along, I was afraid if the show went to Season 6 something like this would happen, the show is slowly deflating. I wanted it to go out on top..

Hey, if Sam ever gets his soul back (which I doubt will happen until the season finale) drop me an email. Because I'm not watching until that happens. I'm tired of hating a show that I used to so dearly love. I've got a lot of other shows that are making me happy instead.

I liked Crowley as a general demon last season, but man am I hating Dean working for a demon. I was so frustrated last night at one point I thought, "You know what, just send Sam back to Hell. His soul is there already, be done with it." And as sad as that is, I don't think it was totally misplaced.

I watched last night for Jensen, but would have been better off recording and watching the 2-3 minutes that he actually had camera time and story.
I'm glad you told me this as you just cemented my decision to not bother ever watching this one. That's all I need, the majority of the episode with Soul-less Sam.

I loved finding out that Crowley was behind everything going on, but then like you, hated it when I found out that meant Dean would be working for him.

I couldn't agree with you more! What's the point of having him around? He treats Dean like crap and basically couldn't care about anyone or anything. Yeah, that's a character we need!
haahha!!!
Re: haahha!!!
You're absolutely right! That was the absolute lowest ranking episode of SPN ever, in six years. Maybe NOW Sera will wake up and see what she's doing to the show. I wish it would stay consistently this low this week, too, so Sera would get a clue, but I think everyone's going to want to see Ben Edlund's episode with Dean and the fairies.
I don't know,if the show is canceled that would be sad to see go the only show I have loved in my life in that way
It would be very sad if it gets canceled due to low ratings instead of Sera or Eric or whomever just deciding that it's time for the show to end. But honestly, if I'd have known that this was what Sera planned to do to the show this year, I wish it would've ended with season five.
Before it gets to late
For seeing just one episode low, maybe not. There should be more episodes like this one. But I wonder if there will be. Because it looks like, that many people who watch the show, base their likes on the spoilers and see if it is worth to watch it.

That's a big problem! If they show to the fans a funny episode, or an episode where Dean is too much on screen, Then the fans will be stick on their tv, so, no another low ratings. :S

Yeah, but what you prefer, see how the show is smash to the last episode or it being canceled for the low ratings?

I think it would be better if the show stopped in season for, with some changes like adam. But, well nothing we can do about it. Just maybe pray for more low ratings and that someone yell to sera and give her and ultimatum that change the curse or go away

Also, this week, the show will be pre-empted in a major market again. Don't know where, but it was mentioned in the PiFeedback forum. So the ratings will be down again.

If Sam stays soulless the entire season, this *will* be SPN's last. There is no family feel here, Sera, you lying sack.
Now, if only Edlund could right every episode.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way!
Not to mention why could the alpha vamp be able to just look at Sam and see that he has no soul
Speaking of the alpha vamp, how in the world was he so easily captured by the Campbell clan? He's way too powerful! Talk about lame!
and Castiel, badass angel of the Lord, has to do an angel-ectomy to figure it out? *That* makes no sense whatsoever. And I'd love someone to ask this at a con. Preferably to a writer.
Good point! But good luck getting an answer. A friend of mine at the last ComicCon asked a question for me about Sam drinking the demon blood to Kripke. They established that Sam never needed the blood (the Dumbo example) yet they kept having Sam drink it whenever it suited their purpose (the gallons to face Lucifer, for example. Which made NO sense since Lucifer is an angel, not a demon!). Kripke deliberately misinterpreted the question, because he had no explanation.

WORD. I didn't watch last week and have no desire to ever watch until Sam gets his soul back. But that won't be until the season finale. Otherwise what would this season be about? Getting Sam's soul back ties the season together.
So yeah, thanks for nothing Sera. Gonna have season six be like season one, eh? Gonna have it be about family, eh? Well you must have one screwed up family, then.
Now, if only Edlund could right every episode.
You know, I've got a love/hate relationship with Edlund. His sense of humor and mine vary wildly, so sometimes I really like the episode and others I cringe at. I'm wondering what way the fairies episode will fall. :-)

If Sam had a soul, this season could've been like season 1 only with creepy raised from the dead grandpa and a civil war in heaven. I could get behind that.

AMEN! Cas is the only thing that's making me happy this season, I just wish we'd see more than five minutes of him at a time! And a human Cas would've rocked. Ah, the things Dean could teach him. ;-)

Could you go out to LA, throw Sera under a bus and take over, please? *g*

I'll have to live with the idea that in another universe, I've done just that. *vbg*
Honestly, I don't understand why having creepy grandpa and his agenda coupled with a civil war in heaven isn't *enough* of a conflict for this season. When I don't give a damn about a character, it does *not* encourage me to continue watching.
That's not to say that I don't like Sam, I do. Really. I just find the soulless thing to be so contrived that I. Just. Don't. Care.
