Leverage - The Order 23 Job

It was the Eliot-Hardison Show last night and it was freakin' AWESOME!

The Order 23 Job was made of win last night. :-)

But once again, TNT is fucking with the airing order. The Order 23 Job was supposed to be episode number two, coming before The Tap-Out Job. And with Eliot's storyline in these last two, seeing Order 23 first would've made more sense, going along with WHY Eliot is a fighter.

Anyway, here were my favorite highlights from last night:

• Parker was SO pleased with herself with her "poison" on a string trick. :-)

• The "white nurses stockings" and the look Eliot and Hardison give each other was priceless! And thus starts the Eliot-Hardison Show. *g*

• When Eliot and Hardison start fighting over the shirt I nearly peed myself laughing. They were like two little kids, fighting while Nate was talking. God, little things like that are why I love this show.

• Eliot and Hardison in full cop uniform was HOT!

• Hardison's "let's talk in code, I'll mention Star Trek" had me howling, along with Eliot saying he had no TV. But dead people have TVs according to Hardison. :-)

• And here Chris Kane steps up to the acting plate with the beginning of Eliot's storyline with the battered young boy and his father. Once again we see a crack in the tough guy's armor and a glimpse into his past. I can't be the only one thinking that Eliot himself was physically abused as a child. Every scene Eliot had with the young boy nearly broke my heart.

• "Did you just give a guy a nosebleed with the power of your mind?" LOL! Again, kudos to the writers for this kind of dialogue.

• "Dr. Wrath of Kahn" - ROTFL! Who knew that Hardison was actually going to use a ST reference?? And it saved Eliot's life!

• Eliot fighting with a big metal bowl was awesome. :-)

• Parker punches a guy! Woot! Go, girl!

• The end of this episode was just fantastic. I knew Eliot was going to find some way to save that boy and get him away from his abusive father. And to see Eilot sitting in that car outside really, really touched me. I love Eliot more and more with every single episode.

I'm usually very interested in the actual con going on in the episodes, but last night it really took a backseat to all of the Eliot-Hardison interaction and the abused boy storyline. Did anyone else feel the same way?

Ok, there you have it! My thoughts on The Order 23 Job. What did YOU guys think of it? And who else is pissed that they no longer show the coming attractions for next week's episode until FIFTEEN MINUTES into Dark Blue?? I don't like being held hostage. You lose, big time, TNT. Not cool at all.

Just finished watching last night's show and I LOVED it!

Can we just call it the Eliot show now? :P I think it's an interesting way for the writers to reveal Eliot's history because he's not really the sort of man to talk about his past. What they've implied in the last two episodes is an abusive childhood where he learned to fight to keep from being the man his father was.

It makes me curious to see if they'll dedicate a couple shows to each character so we can understand why they became criminals, or if they just felt it was Eliot's back story that was the only one hidden enough at this point to explain. I mean, we know about Parker and Hardison both being foster kids so we can guess at the bad things that happened there (even for Hardison who found a loving caregiver in the end). We understand Nate's fall. The only other person we really don't get is Sophie and I honestly think we'll find that she's the one that didn't have it that bad, that turned to the life for more superficial reasons. But... I love the Eliot centered shows.

I loved the Eliot/Hardison moments and god Hardison cracks me up! I love how Eliot fights with everything around him, he might be a fair person, but there's no such thing as fair in a fight when you go at those stakes so I love that he just uses what's at hand (though nothing beats the oysters in The Wedding Job :P)

Love that Eliot took care of that boy on the side, that none of them knew what he was doing. Besides giving us a little bit more of his past, it also shows Eliot getting the job done, not with strong arm tactics. Sort of makes me wonder if something is going to happen to Nate in the near future. They're setting Eliot up a little too much to be a focus of something. Or if something big is going to happen to him... :P

Tee hee hee... can't wait til next week :P

Awesome! It really was a great episode, wasn't it? :-)

What they've implied in the last two episodes is an abusive childhood where he learned to fight to keep from being the man his father was.

Exactly! And I like that it's a kind of "read between the lines" thing, makes you think.

or if they just felt it was Eliot's back story that was the only one hidden enough at this point to explain

Could be, because his past has always remained pretty closed off.

The only other person we really don't get is Sophie and I honestly think we'll find that she's the one that didn't have it that bad, that turned to the life for more superficial reasons.

I have to totally agree with you about Sophie. She seems to just get a kick out of duping people and stealing from them. And we've seen that whole warehouse of stuff she's stockpiled that she's stolen, so yeah, she's pretty much just in it for the money, I think!

I loved the Eliot/Hardison moments and god Hardison cracks me up!

I never thought Hardison would turn out to be such a comedic character!

so I love that he just uses what's at hand (though nothing beats the oysters in The Wedding Job :P)

"Did you just kill a guy with an appetizer?" LOL! Best line ever!

Love that Eliot took care of that boy on the side, that none of them knew what he was doing.

Wasn't that great? He's not quite ready to reveal that softer, more compassionate side of him, nor what's probably going to turn out to be child abuse in his own past.

Sort of makes me wonder if something is going to happen to Nate in the near future. They're setting Eliot up a little too much to be a focus of something. Or if something big is going to happen to him... :P

Oh man, I never even thought of something like that! Yikes!
