Pork rinds? How do you peel a pig?
Last night's Leverage episode, The Tap-Out Job, was made of win for it's Eliot-centric focus. I love the glimpses into each character's past we get as the series progresses and we delved pretty deep into Eliot with this one.
Here are a few thoughts of mine on the episode...
Oh, before that I had to share that I had a dream last night that I was dancing with Christian Kane. :-) He was performing at some really small, intimate place, with like only 30 people. He finished singing, came and sat next to me on this couch, then asked me to dance. It was really nice! I woke up with a smile on my face. :-)
Right off the bat we've got the hysterical wrestling match with Parker and Hardison. LOL! Loved it! Especially with Hardison's running commentary asking to be let go, and yet still answering a question while in that, shall we say...suggestive choke hold. Ha!
The fixed golf balls were a hoot! Hardison looked like a little kid with a remote control car. :-)
At first I thought Eliot (aka Kid Jones) was going to have to fight all 12 guys in that alley!
I thought Chris did an excellent job in the scene in the fight promoter's office. It's rare that we see Eliot play anyone but a tough guy, but Chris did a fantastic job of making Kid Jones look kinda vulnerable and insecure.
Nice twist having the gang's con be exposed and have them have to really, really think on their feet. I was wondering what the heck they were gonna do!
I honestly can't say enough about Chris's acting last night. I've always loved Eliot, but last night had me totally invested in his journey. All his talk about fighting and needing to be in control, opening up to Sophie like that - it was our first real glimpse into what Eliot's life was like, where he came from, and how he ended up in the life he has now. Excellent, excellent job, Chris.
I truly hate MMA fighting, but god DAMN Eliot makes it sexy! LOL! Eliot (and Chris!) were totally in their element in this episode and I thank the writers for pulling in part of Chris's real life. Eliot in full fighter mode was awesome!
And it was good writing that had me believing that Eliot's water was drugged! But when the doctor jumped in the ring I remembered he was related to their client and I knew the con was back on. :-)
Ok, what was with the saxaphone in the trunk with the guns?? LOL!
All in all, another great episode and one I know I'll be watching many, many times, like I've done with The Two-Horse Job and The Wedding Job.
On a side note, does anyone else think Gina Bellman is pregnant? Her face is much heavier than last season, and the way they're filming her, hiding her waist most of the time has me think she's expecting.
So, what did YOU guys think of The Tap-Out Job? :-)

The fight scene in the alley just started to make me purr. Eliot is such a bad ass. But the ending fight scene about killed me with the beating he took. But then when Sophie said, "That's what he does." about the beating, the look on Eliot's face made me melt. *sigh* I so need an icon with that face. Maybe I can find a still-shot.
Leverage just gets better and better every week.
edited for the 4th time, maybe I should just comment again. LOL
Congrats to Bellman on the baby!!!

Chris was in amazing form last night. From the fight scenes to the more emotional ones he was right on the money. And yes, the look on his face! [swoon]
Yep, so far we're two for two with great episodes!
Ha! So yep, Gina IS pregnant! Good for her! But now we know that's why we're getting Jeri Ryan, 'cause Gina will be off for several eps, probably.
