Supernatural poll - what's your favorite season four ep so far?

Morning, everyone!

So I spent part of my weekend rewatching all of the season four eps we've gotten so far, and wow, have we started off this year with a bang, or what?

Then I got to thinking, which one is my favorite, and then thought that I'd ask all of YOU, too.

I like them all really for different reasons, but the stand out for me was ITB. I spent the whole time *clappy hands*

I liked LR because well, Castiel! Duh.
Actually nothing comes immediately to mind about AYTGIMDW?...
And Metamorphosis - is it wrong that I really enjoyed watching Dean hit Sam?... :P

Not at all! 'Cause I kinda did, too. :-) Though I'm wondering...that's three times Dean has punched Sam. Wonder when the payback's gonna come, eh?

This one is hard. As far as acting, brother interaction and moster story, it has to be Metamorphosis....but it was also the grossiest one...hard to watch. *g*

Great choice! I loved, loved, loved the brother moments in that as well. Though like you said, gross stuff, too! I had to fast forward past the "chewing" scenes when I watched it yesterday. :-)

I went straight away for Lazarus Rising, it set me up for a new season, gave me hope again, made me squeal and flail like mad thing, something I hadn't done with the show for ages.

Thanks to that opening, I'm back to avoiding spoilers, I'm back enjoying the show to the extent I can't wait to download each weeek and best of all is that even the flaws and faults I do see? I can either wave my hand and ignore or talk about them without grinding my teeth.

Yeah...I'm excited again and I don't think any other episode will top that for some time.

Yay for LR! I picked that one as well, for the exact reasons you said. You know how I felt about season three, so to start off season four with as big a bang as LR gave us, I finally felt like we had our show back again. :-) Woot!

I went for ITB even though... I love the BROTHERS in Metamorphosis, but I'm still waiting for something to happen there so I'm not picking out my favorite brothers episode yet. I liked LR and Are you there God, but I just liked ITB more :) I mean, the answers! And the questions! And it was the only episode ever to actually make me cry. So, yeah. That one :)

Good choice with In the Beginning! Heck, they ALL had something great in them, didn't they? From brother stuff to angels and demons...and pie. *g*

:D Yep. It's really been an amazing start of the season. I haven't been this thrilled since... well, second season really, third one was the only one that had such a crappy start, but in a way, it was to be expected. Not a lot to do while you set up a new baddie and wait for Dean to die.

I want pie! :) Ohh cherries. Is 4 am too late to make pancakes? Damn.

This was so difficult, because they are all so awesome. I finally had to go with Metamorphosis, although ask me later and it might be Lazarus Rising. Or any of them. Gawd, this season ROCKS on the show that Rocks!

There are so many good things about all of them, it's almost too hard to choose one, but I have to go with Lazarus Rising because it's the set up for the season and it left me feeling so amazed and thrilled for the rest of the season.

I went with Lazarus Rising myself, because it really blew me away and was, like you said, the total set up for this entire season. And wow, what a rollercoaster ride it's been already!

I like ITB because it reveals A LOT! Stuff we've been waiting for.

Plus Dean gets to go back in time, how awesome?!

Excellent choice! We'd been waiting four years for some of those answers and it was nice to finally see how the Winchester's destiny came to be.

I said "Metamorphosis" because there was a lot of amazing acting going on, on behalf of J2. When Dean busts in on Sam and confronts him about his powers, when he hits Sam...omg. The nasty gore parts aside, emotionally it was such a raw episode, sprinkled with moments of tension-relieving humor that had me cooing once again my undying love for Kim Manners.

And they are playing allll of this in a way that is SO not brotherly but instead comes off heavily as lovers/married couple -- I didn't need my slash-colored glasses AT ALL through this ep! :)

Jensen and Jared were definitely on top of their game in Metamorphosis.

My first thought was, "ANYTHING WITH CASTIEL!!", hee, but it's really so hard to pick, and that's a good thing, especially so early this season. So I'd have to go with ITB, because of all the closure and pain, and the flashes of funny. It just rocked on all levels.

I think YED would find Mary anyway, he did in fact, it's just that this time Dean was the catalyst to the events. But even if he wasn't, it had to be painful to have watched every single person of your family die (because even though he didn't see Mary dying in the fire, he saw the fire, and he knew his mom was still there).

I don't think I'll ever watch this episode again.

First I thought Lazurus Rising because, hello, HUG!!!!

But I went with Metamorphosis because of the two confrontation scenes, in the motel and at the side of the road. The boys were SO on their game there!

Plus, I liked Travis.

I was totally torn between LR and Metamorphosis and ended up choosing LR. But it was really hard, because the brother stuff in Metamorphosis totally rocked.

I went with LR because after hating the show for an entire year, LR completely blew me away and I finally felt like our show was back. :-)

I can't seem to get the last episode out of my head so, I went for Metamorphosis. All the emotions that passed across Dean's face during that episode just crushed me. It was so good!

Great choice! So far Metamorphosis wins for me for the best brother moments, angsty though they may be, for the season so far. :-)
