Well since all of you had fun with yesterday's "favorite episode of season 1" poll, let's keep going!

But first - as of this post, we have a TIE between Faith and Devil's Trap for the winning episode for season one. I love both of them, but Faith is hands down my own personal favorite of the season, so I'm thrilled to see it so high up in the tally. :-)

And I want to thank all of you for your wonderful comments on the poll yesterday. Everyone had such great reasons for picking their own favorite. :-)

Alright then! It's time to put your thinking caps back on and vote for your favorite season 2 episode. What's the ultimate episode for you? The one you go back to time and time again when you reach for the DVD set? The one that says to you "this is why I love Supernatural".

But I ended up with What is and What Should Never Be because damn it, it's part of the life the boys should have had! Dean being so, so very tempted to stay even though he knew it wasn't right. The monologue at John's grave. Just wish JDM would have been available to see what Dean wanted John's life to have been like.

Hmmm...I don't know. I think Born Under a Bad Sign will give it a run for it's money! It was hard for me to choose between BUABS and WIAWSNB, actually. But I went with evil!Sammy in the end. :-)

I do like WIAWSNB too, but it's not my favorite. I'm so sure because I watched my favorite again last weekend and it's In My Time Of Dying. It's just so awesome. Sam with the Ouija (sp?) board, Dean figuring out that Tessa's a reaper and John making the deal. That ep kills me everytime I watch it.

Both BUABS and WIAWSNB are awesome eps. But I had to go with the first zombie apocalypse of the show. I love Croatoan sooooooooooooooo much. Dean willing to sacrifice himself to stay with his Sammy just gets me every single time.

I know, I know, how wrong is that, with WIAWSNB and AHBL1n2 and even IMToD being on the same list with it, but I honestly fell in complete and total love with that episode the first time I saw it and just can't get enough. It's my favorite episode of the show actually. And I'm not even gonna pretend it's the best made episode, or that the acting was superbly awesome, or that there was anything at all to draw general public to it. It just appealed to something crooked inside me :) Dean being annoyed by Sam bitching as they walk into the museum (or whatever the hell it was), Sam's face as they're getting arrested, GREEN ONIONS as they exit the bus and walk the line is my favorite soundtrack choice of a lifetime, the fact that they managed to find someone even bigger than Jared to shove into the cell with him (and just that they didn't put them together, which would have been such an easy choice to make), realizing it was all a part of the plan, DEAN'S LOYALTY, "You from Texas all of a sudden?", Dean OWNING the prison life, Tiny!, orange, "I'll have mine al dente" "Dean, does it bother you at all how well you fit in here? No, not really" ... khm well, you saw the episode, no need to recap... Yeah, I loved it all.
I hate and fear prisons, and even if this was supposed to be a funny episode I can't see it like that cause you know Dean is too pretty and strong he may be but he's just one person, and the shit that would really happen to him there is too much for me to think about, but the fact that they built a huge wall of denial around it and made Dean the coolest thing to ever walk the prison walls made me melt a bit and love him even more which is hardly even possible.

Think I could list some reason for voting for nearly all of these - except Roadkill, I really wasn't impressed with that one. Every other has some scene that's just exceptional in one way or another - but I had to choose so I went for All Hell #1

I don't think I'll ever forget the first time I saw that, Sam dropping to his knees in that wet mud and Dean catching him - nope, that one is the death scene they'll never match again, it was raw, emotional and incredibly heartbreaking.

Darn... this was definitely a hard one. I voted first, THEN read the comments lol. I voted for WIAWSNB but then, while reading comments, I was reminded of how much I loved Croatoan... and BUABS... and FPB... and IMTOD... and the emotion in AHBL still tears at me. Such a hard hard decision. But, I'll gamely stick by my choice. WIAWSNB just tore a little piece of my heart out. Dean seeing what they could have had, realizing that in having all that he could have lost the close relationship with Sam, Sam nearly losing Dean to the Djinn's fantasy. It just really stuck with me as an emotional roller-coaster of an ep. And the acting was terrific. Yeah, that's my weak spot in Season two, I think.

Man this was even harder. I nearly chose IMTOD but decided to go with AHBL2.
I chose AHBL2 because of everything that happened in this episode. Starting with Dean mourning Sam, which broke my heart then selling his soul for him and then everything that happens at the Devil's Gate and especially killing the YED with John's help. And then having to tell Sam he only has a year to live and then they are off on the road again to search for evil.
It was one hell of a ride and seeing John that one last time was very emotional.

Okay, once again, I think I'll just go with my first
instinct, which was Born Under A Bad Sign.
Because I really love it! Even from the very
beginning when Sam calls Dean, and Dean starts out
upset and then he flips into Big Brother mode and
tells Sammy to calm down. Then, when he checks Sam
for injury when he sees the blood, that is such a
great brother moment. I really love shell-shocked
Sam, too.

Plus, being so shocked that Sam was smoking and
chugging brew, that was cool.

But of course the whole horrible thing with the gun,
and Dean's "You know I always tried to protect you" is jusy heartbreaking! But I was so shocked when Sam turned around and cold-cocked Dean!

Plus, Jo was actually not annoying in this one. Sam's whole scene with Jo I think Jared just totally blasted outta the ark! "My Daddy shot your Daddy in the head".

And it has BOBBY!

But very close seconds were IMTOD, ELAC, Croatoan, WIAWSNB, AHBL 1, AHBL 2.

WAYYYYYY too many faves for this season [which is kinda weird because S1 is better than S2 IMO] but I chose BUABS for evil!Sam.

He just does THINGS to me. *flappy hands*

But I still absolutely ADORE the last 6 eps of the season. Hands down the BEST. \o/\o/
