Update on guest star for SPN episode 20

Well, even though both imdb.com and spoilerfix listed Jeffrey Dean Morgan as appearing in episode 20, What is And What Should Never Be, the article in the new TV Guide says that JDM was unavailable to reprise his role as John Winchester.

I am SO disappointed to hear this, but I should've seen it coming, since he was nowhere to be found in the promo pics that were released. [sigh]

Damn. :-(

Well, I know folks don't like to be spoiled, but if you saw the recent set reports from the bloggers, there was a picture of a prop that made the rounds that kind of gave away the fact that John wouldn't be in this episode ;-)


I won't describe it unless asked - I can never remember whether or not people want to be spoiled or not!
I also can report on what I read as to John's fate in this episode, but I can't recall where I read it or whether or not it's true.

I'm so hoping that they are trying to fool us with this news, but that's probably too much to hope for. I at least wanted to see him in a flashback or something.

And as he was there to film the finale, how hard would it really be to film a scene or two for Ep 20? Oh, well. I guess we'll find out!

Speaking of JDM, I came across an old (well, from Oct 2006) interview at people.com with Jensen, Jared and Jeffrey. My two favorite parts:

What is like to work as a father-son team?
Morgan: I don't know of any two young actors who are quite as gracious and sweet and troublemaking as these two, so getting to work with them has been a real complete privilege. And, yes, I call them the fruit of my loins quite frequently (laughing). But, mostly, we are more like brothers.

Have you ever encountered any paranormal stuff outside of work?
Morgan: Just hanging out with Jensen. That is strange in itself (laughing). Jensen, I love you!
