I'll have the Watercooler review and my thoughts on Roadkill up tomorrow morning, but I just had to post this right now - so it turns out my DVR was NOT crazy when it couldn't find Supernatural next Thursday. And why is that? BECAUSE IT'S NOT ON HERE IN CHICAGO NEXT WEEK!

I am SO PISSED OFF.  There was a crawl at the bottom of the screen on both SPN and SV tonight, stating that the next new episode of both shows would be on next FREAKING SATURDAY NIGHT.  And all because of freaking basketball!

Did anyone else get a similar message tonight, that SPN will be pre-empted in your area as well? This is going to play hell with the ratings next week, since Chicago is a big market for CW.

I'm just... ARGH!!!

I saw that, too, and the first thing I thought was, "Well, on the bright side, I won't miss it". I have to work until 8:30 next Thursday. Stupid job.

Hey. It could be worse. They could figure that nobody cares, and not show it at all! At least they put it on! (WGN learned their lesson when they'd put on baseball instead of Buffy, and the fans raised holy hell.)

I won't mind, really, as long as I get to see it eventually! I'll just have to boycott LJ for a couple of days! ;)

I'm hoping that the CW's site has it up the next morning so I can at least watch it ONE day earlier.

Aw, no! :( It does seem to be airing regular time here...at least I think it is. I wasn't paying attention to the crawl, but I'm pretty sure the promo at the end said "next week." TVguide.com is still listing it new in my area next week, and when I plugged in a Chicago zipcode, it did list the game instead of Supernatural. :(

Dang...this is not a good time for this to happen; there's no way it won't hurt the ratings. And this seems like it will be such a good episode, too. Ach...

It just seems so weird that they might be airing it in some places and not others. Am I the only one here who may have it airing at regular time next week? I almost wish it wasn't. I'd much rather have everyone see it at once, to be able to talk about it right after and everything. Some people will have seen it, some won't have, spoilers are likely to slip...it's just be much more fun to have it aired at the same time.

Yeah, the promo said "next Thursday" for us as well, since it's a nationwide broadcast, but there was a crawl at the bottom, letting us here know that it wouldn't be on until Saturday. [sigh]

And you're right, with Chicago as a major market missing from the ratings next week it's gonna hurt, no doubt, and after Roadkill did so good this week, too!

As for why some places are being pre-empted, it's because my CW shares a network with my local WGN channel, and sports always trumps other programming. Grrrr....

I'm just hoping that the CW's site has it up for viewing the next morning!

I didn't notice if there was anything on a crawl on my screen. I certainly HOPE that we'll get it on Thursday, because as far as I can tell, my WB station doesn't reschedule anything. Ever.

Sounds like Chicago is going to be the only market that doesn't get it next week, all due to my CW being on my WGN station, where sports trumps anything else. Nice, eh? Grrrr...

Probably everyone who watches it on a station that is actually owned by the CW will get it Thursday and everybody who gets it on a station that just carries CW shows, like WGN in Chicago, will have it pre-empted.
