Trick-or-treat?

Well we only had about a dozen trick-or-treaters last night, which was disappointing, considering the very mild weather we had for Chicago. No raincoats or winter jackets over costumes! But the kids we did get were cute and polite and the parents complimented me on our outdoor decorations. :-) How did you all fare with the little candy snatchers? ;-)

I think the increasing lack of trick-or-treaters is because parents are either getting lazy and don’t want to be bothered taking their kids out, or they just take them to the mall. Sad, really. I used to love tearing around the neighborhood with my plastic pumpkin.

Is Halloween a big deal in the UK like it is here in the States?
