Adventures in glass making - the butterfly

I got to pick up my finished glass mosaic butterfly last night and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Okay, this was the "before" picture, prior to being fired:

And here's the "after". Amazing how the colors change, isn't it?

The class wasn't what I was expecting, but in the end I enjoyed myself and I've got another skill under my belt!

I've only recently gotten on Groupon, because of you, incidentally! Anyway, I am watching the offerings so that I can jump on it as.soon as I see something like that offered. Our art museum used to offer all kinds of art classes, but stopped due to lack of interest. O think they need to give it another go since we have had a decent surge in population. I need to adjust my profiles on all the art sites and other sites to encompass a larger area. But I love seeing your works of artistic beauty. We have a lot in common, you and I.
