A few years ago, I was standing in line at Texas Frightmare Weekend, which is the largest horror convention in the south. People travel from all over to this thing. There was still about an hour before they were going to open the doors, so those of us in line started up with the small talk. There were a couple of girls behind me who mentioned they had driven in from Lawrence, Kansas, and it took everything in me not to flail. Turns out I didn't need to, because nearby a gentleman blurted out, "OH MY GOD, LIKE SAM AND DEAN!" I ended up hanging out with him and his wife for most of the convention, and we still keep in contact.
