Disney - It's all about the pins

So remember when I said I had finished with my posts about my Disney vacation? Yeah, I lied. :-)

I completely forgot to talk about the pins! My friend Andrew has been down to Disney about a million times and he always came back with a couple of pins. He told me it was a big deal down there but I had no idea until I saw it with my own two eyes.

Holy crap, these people take their pins seriously!. There were stores devoted to nothing but pins. Hundreds and hundreds of them! And people walk around with them on lanyards and trade them with other people, including the park employees!

Needless to say, I quickly got caught up in the pin frenzy as well. And 18 pins and $100 later, here's what I scored. Do you notice a theme? :-)

And here's my "variety pack". The Winnie the Pooh one was a bonus pin for buying over a certain dollar amount and I love it because it says 1971 on it - the year I was born and also the year that Disney World opened. Had to get one that said 2013 on it, of course, and there's one from the Wilderness and my little buddies, Chip and Dale. Oops, how did that other Star Wars one get in there? LOL!

And now I'm done with Disney. Really. ;-)

I'm a pin collector and I fear I'd have to take out a second mortgage before pin shopping at Disney. These are all awesome, I think I like Pooh best.

Oh my god, you’d have gone insane down there. You should have seen my face when I walked into the first store. And people were swarming like bees, for crying out loud! LOL! It was really cute to see kids stopping the park employees to trade pins with them. :-)
