The weekend wrap-up

Morning, everyone!

Ah, here we are, another Monday. Blech.

Had both a fun and quiet weekend. On Saturday my best buddy charityflint and I had another glass blowing class. This time we made pumpkins! Though mine had some difficulties in the forming/molding process and the instructor said, "Looks like you've got a gourd instead!" He thought it was humorous but I'm not too pleased that mine is somehow half the size of everyone else's. But he did say that the colors in mine (red, orange and yellow) had a neat twist going on. So if the colors at least look cool I'll be good with it. Charity and I also purchased a lightbox to go under our free-form pieces we made last time and holy cow, they look fantastic lit up from underneath, because of all the clear glass. Really makes the colored strands stand out. Our next class won't be until December now, when we go in to make Christmas ornaments. Charity is picking up our pieces on Wednesday then bringing mine over on Friday before we go on our ghost tour (woot!) so I'll try and post picks of the pumpkin on Saturday or Sunday.

After class Charity and I went out to lunch then back to my house where we hung out with the hubby for awhile before all heading out to dinner, then Charity was on her way home.

The weather on Sunday was terrible. We even had a tornado warning! So I stayed inside and watched some TV, did some computer stuff and read an entire Quantum Leap paperback book.

And of course I spent some time playing with the cats, so I give you your daily dose of cute - Bean in her pop-up cube. Gotta love that little pink tongue!
