'Leverage' nabs Cary Elwes for guest spot

The Leverage team is back to its old capers and, in the first episode of season 5, Cary Elwes is on their radar.

The Princess Bride star is set to guest-star in the premiere, playing Scott Roemer, a modern-day Howard Hughes who is the owner of Global Transit Airlines. The team cons the unscrupulous Roemer into thinking he has a chance to steal Hughes’ famous Spruce Goose mega-plane, but after he seemingly takes the bait, he comes to realize all is not as it seems.

Leverage returns with 15 new episodes this summer. Season 4 of the caper drama averaged 4.8 million viewers.

Woot! I mean, c'mon, people who DOESN'T like The Princess Bride? I've loved seeing Cary pop up now and again on Psych, but to have him on Leverage kicks ass! Gosh, first I got my Houston Knights hunk Michael Pare on Leverage last season and now The Dread Pirate Roberts! :-)

You’re the second person to mention Cameron Daddo to me! I don't think I ever saw the F/X series, but I have seen him on many other things. Great actor!
