How to freak out your co-workers in one easy step

Check this out. :-)

This past weekend at [livejournal.com profile] winchestmidwest, inside our registration packets was a temporary tattoo of Sam and Dean's protection symbol. I was going to put mine on at the con, but then decided to wait until Monday morning instead, right before I went to work. I wanted to see how many people I could freak out and convince the tattoo was real. Heh.

I knew the perfect place to put it, too. Right on the back of my neck. :-)

I wore a shirt with a wide neck, so you could see about 80% of it above my collar. Sure enough, I completely freaked out all my friends and co-workers once they spotted it. LOL! I really had some of them going, too, telling them I was at the convention and a bunch of us decided to go and do it. Ha! One lady who sits in the cubicle behind mine, who is ultra religious, took one look at the tattoo and wouldn't speak to me all day! Reminded me of the Supernatural pilot, where Sam and Dean are talking to the girls about the pentagram and "devil stuff". :-)

So here's what it looked like on my neck:

I actually think it looks pretty darn cool there and I need to send Andie a message, ask if she has any more of the tattoos I can purchase from her, because I'd like to put one of these on again every so often. :-)

It all starts with a temporary one, m'dear. Next thing you know it's not temporary any more. Mwah ha ha ha haaaaaaaaa! (says one who knows this for a fact!) =P

LOL! Oh man, I was wondering if I was going to be getting a comment from you! I remember when you got the temporary one and the next thing I know, you're inked for real!

Though I gotta tell you, if I were to get one for real, I'd seriously consider this design, right there on the back of my neck. It just looks so freakin' cool! LOL!

For me it got to the point of I was surprised to see myself *without* the temporary tatt on. That's pretty much when I knew I was ready to go ahead and have the real one done.

Don't know about the back of the neck thing, tho'. not sure about the pain factor in that location. Although it does have the advantage of not seeing the needle coming at you. Unlike mine where I had a freakin' bird's eye view every time 'chele came at me with it! ROFL!

I just went and bought 10 more of the temporary tats. I'm afraid that may mean I'm heading in the permanent direction! o_O Good lord, John would just die if I did something like that!

But yeah, the pain thing may stop these thoughts in my tracks. :-) There's not a lot of padding on the back of my neck!
