Supernatural Exclusive: Jensen Ackles on the Season Finale and What He Wants Next!
We ran into Supernatural's Jensen Ackles on the golf course (his preferred habitat!) and couldn't resist asking him about the finale... and what comes next! Check out what he has to say about the brothers reunited and what he wants us to see come Sept. 10:
I couldn't agree more with what you want for next season, Jensen! It's all about the brothers!

P.S. - love your icon!

However the two of them together always trump either seperately for me, I adore Sam to death but without Dean he's half as awesome and without Sam I feel exactly the same about Dean, they are two halves of an awesome hole.
I love my icon too, its SO how it should always be.

lol- for me that was minor-I didn't start yelling "you stupid *&*%$#!" until the last half of Lucifer Rising, and I wasn't thouroughly disgusted with him until Lilith herself was egging him on to kill her, with Dean yelling audibly in the background, and he *did it anyway*
Yeah, no. Dude, when ALL the demons want you to do something, DON'T.
That's all there is to that.
Dean gets a little bit of fail spattered on him for just yelling "Sam", & not continuing with the important information. But, what it really comes down to is-Sam made very stupid choices, despite bigass clues all over the place, and the failure is his.
Of course Dean will forgive him, and so do I, but naturally this failure is going to mess him up bigtime.
Because this time? It really is his fault.
And a hurting Sam is a stupid Sam.

But-my comment is about the character- Both boys are very very good people, generous and selfless, but neither is perfect. Certain kinds of pain can turn both stupid, selfish and cruel. They have different triggers-Sam's has always been his pride. Think about it- have you ever seen him lose it and lash out for any reason except guilt-i.e., his pride is hurt? (Well, ok, maybe 3-5% just pride:)
You can see him at the end of LR, figuring it out -the clues were there, and he missed them. He did things he *knew* he shouldn't, HE screwed up and *he* brought on the apocalypse.
It might NOT be his fault he missed the clues, but hindsight's 20-20, and can you really see him forgiving himself?
And when his pride is hurt, he's not nearly so nice. He can be ruthless and downright mean-he tried to leave Dean and hunting out of pride/guilt, tried to kill Bobby in Mystery Spot and dealt with demons because he'd failed Dean, his accusations in S&V were that Dean was holding him back out of jealousy...etc.
So, no, I really don't see happy brother bonding in the near future, or Sam getting better soon..IMO, That's just not in character. That's all I'm saying:)

they are two halves of an awesome hole.
My sentiments exactly! :-)
