Jared in the Christmas Cottage - so far not too bad!

So I only had a chance to watch 25 minutes of Jared in The Christmas Cottage before I had to go to work this morning, but so far it's not bad! I had read the movie adaptation novel quite awhile ago, and they've cut a lot out of what's in the book.

Jared looks SO CUTE in all his little knit hats and scarves and his adorable floppy hair. :-) And it's kinda funny to see him write and paint with his left hand.

Peter O'Toole's dialogue is a bit heavy handed, though, and Maria Gay Harden is a total space cadet.

I totally squee'd when I saw Richard Burgi as Thomas Kinkade's father. My two favorite fandoms off all time have collided! The Sentinel and Supernatural! Awesome!

And I had totally forgotten that Gina Holden is in this, too, and what a bizarre coincidence that I just happened to have watched Wendigo last night. :-)

I'm liking the supporting cast of all the townspeople, especially the neighbors across the street from each other in a Christmas decoration war with each other. Ha!

I hope to have time tonight to finish watching it.
