I'm baa-aack!
Did y'all miss me? :-)
I was hoping to post yesterday, but ended up in a post-con sleep deprived coma for most of the day. *g*
So all in all, Media West was a rousing success, despite the con organizers still being clueless idiots, even after running this thing for the past 28 years. [sigh]
But it's the people I go to this con for, not so much for the events and panels anymore, and I had a BLAST hanging out with my "crew" from California and Canada and Indiana. There's just nothing better than hanging out with your friends for six days, some of whom, like
khek,
partners4life,
mayphoenix,
sylvia_bond, and so many others that I may only get to see once a year.
The con itself seemed very small to me this year, attendance wise, so I count myself very lucky that myself and my best buddy,
charityflint, did so amazingly well selling our SPN-related merchandise. We came home with a lot of money in our pockets!
The great thing about being a room dealer is that you'll get a bunch of folks in there looking at the merchandise and someone will make a comment about SPN and the next thing you know, you've got a room full of people discussing. :-) It can sometimes be better than one of the formal panels at the con! I can't tell you how many people walked in and immediately started talking about the season finale, and Dean in particular. Folks seem equally divided on their opinions about him and I loved hearing everyone's reasons.
There weren't very many door decorations this year, either, but the ones that were there were brilliant! Especially
khek's "What's really in the trunk of the Impala?" I laughed myself silly!
I swear I gained 10 lbs while I was up there, since eating out for breakfast, lunch AND dinner is a major social event. :-) It's always amusing to walk into a restaurant and tell the hostess that there's fourteen people in your party. Ha!
I re-connected with several old-time Sentinel folks, which was great, and even did a special order Sentinel pillowcase for one. :-)
So yeah, another Media West over and done, which saddens me. You look forward to this for an entire year, and then suddenly in the blink of an eye, six days have passed and you're saying good-bye. [sigh] I miss all of you already!!
So that was my week. I hope all of you had a good Memorial Day holiday, too!

It was sooo good to see you and spend time with you, talking about SPN and the boys. Like I said at the con, I hope I didn't wear out my welcome by hanging out in your room too much. I just love you gals so much. You're so intelligent, upbeat, enthusiastic, and I really love hearing what you have to say, learning from you. Heck, just being in your pressence is comforting. I don't want to abuse it, though, which is why I get all self-conscious and worry about you getting sick of me and being too nice to tell me to go away.
Maybe once Carrie's here, you gals could think about coming in for a Wincest Weekend (we have a day bed with a separate trundle). Heck, maybe I'll take you to some of the area's famous haunted spots. I know you've got a busy year planned out already, but just in case...know the offer's there.
I'm going to report on the con today (now that I'm over MY post-MW*C coma) with pictures...including some of YOU! Sadly, I did not get my annual group shot of the San Fran Gang (as I said Monday, I only got five minutes with Noel all weekend *pouts*). Oh, well...
Love you! *HUGS*

Thanks for the open invitation to come up and see the three of you. :-) I'll mention it to Charity and we'll see if we can work something out. It would be great to see the new place you're living in.
Oh yay, you're gonna post pictures! I totally forgot my camera this year so I'll look forward to seeing yours. :-)
Love ya!

What kind of opinions did they have about Dean? I'm not sure what you mean by "divided"?
In any case, I don't think I'll get over the finale. Have you seen the new Behind the Scenes pics? Some great ones of Jensen preparing for the green screen and some of the emotional stuff.

Folks were divided on whether or not Dean was actually down in Hell or just trapped inside his own mind and not actually dead. And everyone had such great and varying reasons for their opinions!
Have you seen the new Behind the Scenes pics?
I haven't been on LJ since I left for the con, but my buddy alli told me about the pics this afternoon, so I'm heading over to SPN Media now!

Maybe one of these days I'll be able to leave my state and go to an actual con!
Anyways, welcome back! :)

I TOLD YOU DIDN'T I TELL YOU??? I'm desperate to know what he was thinking about when that shot was taken.
