Spin cycle, please!

So my hubby goes to do some laundry just a little bit ago and opens up the door to the laundry room. He realizes he's forgotten something and walks out for a minute. When he goes back in, this is what he finds:

Yep, our darling Chloe slipped in while the door was open and found a new place to take a nap. :-)

Cats. Gotta love 'em!

God, let this be a warning -- ALWAYS check before you close the door and turn on the washer or dryer. A few months ago, a friend on LJ stepped out of the room for a minute, came back, slammed the dryer door and started it, then headed out for a day with her family. She came back to find that her cat had apparently slipped into the dryer during those moments when she was out of the room, and was absolutely devastated to realize how her beloved pet had died. She said her vet told her that quite a few cat deaths happen that way.

Oh gosh, yes, absolutely. I've done that as a practice ever since I've had cats, which is most of my life. Never, ever found one in there until this past weekend, though! They really are quick and quiet, so you've got to be on your toes as well.
