Oh, I saw you joined up! Awesome! I hope you take part in some of our discussions or start your own posts. It's just been a breath of fresh air over there, being able to rationally discuss something about the show that we don't like (and not just the girls) without people jumping down your throat for daring to question some of the choices that Eric is making this season.

Because we all believe that being a fan doesn't mean blind faithfulness. It means recognizing the good AND the bad, you know?

And the girls? Well I think we know what category they fall into. ;-)

Oh rats, I didn't get to read it before you deleted it! I will tell you one thing, though, this had better not be a "funny" episode as Kripke put it, because there's nothing funny about the concept of this episode.

I'm trying to take what he said with a grain of salt, because he also said about season 1 that his favorite scene was the guy with his hand in the garbage disposal and he was all giddy about it. None of US thought that was funny, you know? So here's hoping this one will be serious like it NEEDS to be.

LOL That's actually what I was saying in the comment I deleted. :) So I agree with you there. I still worry that it undercuts the story though overall though. I mean having Dean die over and over again seems like it would sort of dampen the drama of it possibly happening at the end of the season simply because we've seen it before. To me it would be as if they'd made Born Under a Bad Sign a light-hearted and/or funny episode. It may be well acted but still, it's happened before. Also it seems like it might telegraph the fact that it ISN'T going to happen at the end of the season(so they are giving Padalecki his chance to play his grief scene now, basically a "vanity" thing(on their part, not Padalecki's, I'm sure he'd rather tell a good story:) thus muting any amoung of suspense there may have been to be had over it.

Hmmm...good point there. And since I don't believe that Dean will actually die by the end of the season you could be right about this.

I just so want this to be a serious episode, but I'm afraid that Kripke is going to just have the deaths get more and more ridiculous and I'll be pissed that one of only three eps I've been able to watch was a waste. And I want the ratings to be high for this brothers-only ep so we can continue to prove that the freaking bimbos aren't needed!

That's exactly what I'm thinking. Unless they start making the deaths ridiculous or something then I'm gonna be pissed, since this, Dean dying, should be mirroring what Sam is really going to have to go through in less than a year. If they start making light of that I will seriously be pissed. I mean, why does the amount of funny episodes have to increase each year, especially with a show of this nature? I just don't get it.

OK, so I finally got over to look at these pics, and HOLY CRAP! Which ep is this? The groundhog day one? I guess that would make some sense; he's trying to get it right so he doesn't wind up dead at the end of the day.
